In the world of electric fireplaces I have tried several different products and this one by far is the best I have seen. Some electric fireplaces have flames that look so fake but this one really looks like a gas fireplace. It has multiple settings and colors and some of the colors do look fake but the basic red flame on this unit with brightness dimmed looks so real it is incredible.

The fireplace is great, sleek, and always a topic of conversation when we have folks over. Most people are used to seeing the flush in wall fireplaces, but the three sided glass, which is what we purchased, makes people turn their heads. Some things to note before purchasing to point out. 1.) If you purchase with Wifi, it will run through the Tuya Smart app. I was new to this app, but setup was easy, granted it took a few times for the initial setup to finish, but nothing too trivial as you just run it back through the process. All in all, took about a minute to setup. Alexa automatically picked it up once the fireplace was added to the Tuya app. As far as operation within the app or on the remote, very simple. Cycles through ember colors, flame colors, flame height and speed, etc. ****THE ONLY THING I DONT LIKE, AND WHY ITS NOT A 5-STAR, I have a 2 1/2 yo and she constantly walks over to push the touch buttons on the face to turn the fireplace on. Once the fireplace is on, you can lock the controls so no one accidentally turns the heat on and all, but when the unit is off, you cant lock the controls from someone accidentally turning the fireplace on......in other words, in the middle of summer, if the unit is off, my daughter can accidentally turn the fireplace on and turn the heat on while I'm running the AC. My oven has a panel lock while the unit is on or off, I wish this had the panel lock while off. Maybe they can push this in a future update, but for now, this is a key reason its not 5-star because frankly i think that is a huge safety issue, but that's just my opinion. If this ever gets updated, I will change the review to 5-star for sure.

Regular fireplace inserts are a dime a dozen, but finding one that's open on the sides was pretty difficult until I found this one. We got the 72" model and built a false wall around it. I think it looks pretty great, and the flames are much more realistic than most of the other cheaper brands I saw. It comes with the logs and colored glass beads and other similar decor. I leave it running 24/7. I takes barely any electricity (without the heater running, of course) and adds a nice aesthetic to the house.
