- INSTALLATION: This Sideline Gold installs simply and can safely be attached to framing studs. The sides and back of the unit remain cool with the heat feature on. We recommend at least 8 of space between the top of the fireplace and your TV or anything mounted above. The Sideline Gold can be installed in existing fireplace openings safely. Consult with a licensed professional to ensure your unused gas lines and vents are properly secured. The Sideline Gold fireplace is ventless.
- OPERATION: The Sideline Gold's heater will take the edge off a cool room or basement, and it can be run with no heat (flame effect only) in warmer climates. The Sideline Gold comes with a 6-foot power cord for a 110-120V outlet. It is also hard-wire ready for in-wall install. The unit draws a max of 12 amps, so the fireplace can be used on a 15-amp circuit. A 20-amp circuit may be necessary if other electronics operate on the same circuit.
- FEATURES: The Sideline Gold features an unmatched realistic flame with nine color options. The Sideline Gold includes faux-fire logs and crystals to create an authentic feel, as well as an IR remote control for adjusting the flame color and intensity, the heater, and shut-off timer. Front facing heater vents allow you to position the Sideline Gold just 8 under a flat screen TV. The Sideline can be hardwired or plugged in to your electric source.
- WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW: 1. We recommend 8 inches of space between your fireplace and TV. 2. The Sideline Gold pulls a max of 12 amps. 3. The fireplaces includes a wall-mount bracket, if you dont recess it. 4. You can install the Sideline Gold in an existing fireplace opening. It stays cool to the touch on the sides and back and is ventless. You can use the Sideline Gold with just the flame and no heat. 5. The heater will warm up a cool room, but wont replace a primary heat source.

The media could not be loaded. this fireplace, gold tone it's elegance to the living space. It adds a calm and relaxing feeling for me. That's it makes the room, calm and relaxing. It matches the decor of the living room setting. My only problem is I had it installed by professional folks, instead of myself and because of the code in my city of Sterling Heights I could not have the heating portion turned on so it's installed without the heating element. I didn't really need it because I have heaters in front of the fireplace that is coming from the house so I really wanted it for this elegant look as you will see in the video. I can always take it out and simply flick the switch on the back and turn it back on the heating portion but for now I don't need it so I'll just use it for. I rate this a 4 1/2 out of five and that's only because not of any fault of the actual fireplace. It's because I have not access the heating portion because of my cities code situation.

Excellent quality and price. Love the variety of color options and heat it gives off. Bought this more for the wall entertainment unit. Very impressed with the ambiance it gives off when not using the heat function. The realistic wood inset looks very realistic. We don't use the glass stone option because we like to wood inset better. Very easy to install if you have the rough opening framed and outlet directly behind.

Product was damaged in shipment. Touchstone really took care of the problem. Refunded a portion of the cost and extended the warranty for 2 years. We are building so it won't be installed for months. Amazon processed our refund to our Prime card the same day. Great Customer Service all the way around. This is the 4th Touchstone we have purchased. Been very pleased with every one. The only reason I didn't give a 5 star rating is because of the damage in the back of the unit.
