I went to Japan Nov 2022 and the hotel I was in had a tankless toto/washlet in the bathroom. It was an experience I simply couldn’t live without once I returned. I did some research like always and came between this G450 and a VOVO branded unit. I read up on the reviews and wasn’t willing to risk potentially buying a less than superior product. Ordered my G450 three months ago and finally was able to install it today. Relatively simple installation BUT the instructions aren’t that in-depth. The instructions are almost all picture based with limited wording. No major issues but I did wind up installing the porcelain portion a few times and removing again until I had the newly re-routed water line perfectly spaced so it didn’t interfere with the detachable skirts. I also ran a new GFCI outlet just for this toilet. All in all I’m very happy with the end product. I dont think You need a professional installer (I am not one) but you for sure need to be a decent do it yourself-er. Im handy and this install took me 8hrs (most of that was fighting the waterline that I had to move… solder DID NOT want to bond to my piping….) after that, it was relatively easy. ... show more

This excellent Toto toilet will only fit on some 12-inch rough-ins due to its exacting need for installation. There is no notice that this might be a problem, so beware that it might not fit your 12-inch rough in. This company deducted $1423 for "restocking." The Toto TOTMS922CUMFG01 Washlet G450 is a high-performing toilet with some great features, but there are a few drawbacks. The washlet functions are excellent—the heated water is a game-changer, and the variable water pressure and adjustable water position provide a customizable and comfortable experience. The toilet itself flushes efficiently and works well overall. However, the elongated bowl isn’t quite a standard elongated size; it feels like an in-between size, which may take some getting used to. My biggest concern is the seat—it feels a bit flimsy compared to the rest of the unit. Given that replacement parts for washlets can be quite expensive, I worry about the long-term durability of the seat and the potential cost if it breaks. While the toilet performs well and offers great features, I expected a sturdier build for the $3000 price tag. ... show more
