As a shorter female rider, I was a bit hesitant about the size, but the upgraded adjustable stem makes it easy to customize the handlebar height and angle for a perfect fit. The overall build quality of the frame and components is very impressive, and I found the bike to be super easy to put together when it arrived - the instructions were straightforward, which I really appreciated. I preferred the white color because I felt it would make me more visible to others in the city where I live. However, be sure to check your local city ordinances and trail regulations, as you may need to wear a helmet and other protective gear, especially when riding at higher speeds like the 20 mph this bike can reach. Even if you don't think you need it, I highly recommend investing in a helmet and other safety equipment, especially for younger or less experienced riders. These additional expenses are worth it for the protection. The 350W motor provides ample power, allowing me to effortlessly tackle hills and reach speeds of up to 20 mph. The 36V 10.4Ah removable battery provides excellent range, easily lasting for my longer rides. The 21-speed gears give me versatile pedaling options to match any terrain. What really sets Totem apart, however, is their exceptional customer service. In one of the very few times I've had a company reach out to me directly through Amazon, Totem demonstrated their commitment to ensuring a positive customer experience. I did encounter an unfortunate situation where I needed to return the bike, but Totem's support team was fantastic. They promptly approved the return and worked with me to provide a full refund, even though they were temporarily out of stock in the white color I had originally purchased. The process was smooth and their patience was greatly appreciated, especially as I had to wait until I had finished moving to complete the return. Even though they tried to replaced my bike directly, I will be repurchasing my replacement through them with the same bike (hopefully) in a different color. I would highly recommend going directly to the Totem Bike Customer Service page and calling them if you happen to have any issues or questions. Amazon was originally making it difficult to get my questions answered, but I got in touch with Totem Support and they have been super amazing. One thing to note is that this e-bike is quite heavy, so keep that in mind if you need to lug it up any stairs. It comes in a easy carry box (even though its 75+lbs) which made it easier to get upstairs. I will be repurchasing my replacement through them with the same bike in a different color.     • Good Solid E-bike at this Price
I waited until I had at least a month plus of riding (and 200 + miles) to give this bike a proper review. I've been an avid biker all my life and have road and mountain bikes. I'm north of 65yrs old and live in a very hot and hilly (mountainous to be more precise) environment. I was looking for something to get around my bike friendly but strenuous terrain community. I read many reviews on e-bikes and decided on this model. Order was simple and bike arrived faster than promised! It was coming from California and I live in Nevada so I'm sure that helped expedite. I know my way around a bike so set up was simple even if I hadn't had been experienced. Fully charged the battery before my first ride. Pro's: Easy set up, locking removable battery, 5 levels of PAS and 21 speeds. Computer display is easily readable and easy to control the PAS. Seat was comfortable enough but I ordered a cableless hydraulic seat dropper to give me the options of seat height on the fly for my steep uphill and downhills. Tires appear to be holding up after about 200 miles of riding. Bike Looks Nice! Con's: Pedals are very heavy and uncomfortable but that was solved by a quick order of new wide flat pedals. I didn't want a throttle but at this price I figured why not. I used it once to try it but I haven't needed it. The problem is that the throttle is only deactivated if it is in zero PAS mode. It is located on the right grip and I have had a few instances where I was in level one PAS and came to a stop and my hand accidentally moved the throttle which caused the bike to accelerate (easy to do due to the positioning of the throttle on the small handle). I didn't want to attempt to disconnect it and mess up the PAS so I grabbed some Gorilla Black Duct tape and taped it in position. So far that works!. The Battery: Lots of reviews speak to battery life. If I was the weight that they test it at it is supposed to lasts 40+ miles on relatively flat terrain then I'm sure that's accurate, Being a bit above the 185lbs and riding hills a lot, and in the very hot desert heat, it was more like 30 miles. I took the bike on a summer getaway to cooler mountains on not so severe terrain and the battery performed a bit better so not complaining! Charges very quickly! Overall I'd recommend this bike. I purchased a PAS step through for my spouse a few years ago at 4X the price! This bike is a great value!! ... show more

    • Great e-bike to ride around town or take on the trails - good price
After having this bike for over a year now, I can say it was one of the best Amazon purchases I have ever made. Overall the quality is decent. Spokes and brakes aren't so great and definitely should be upgraded. I have had to true up the wheels once and the brakes are rather weak, and need to be beefed up. The front handle bar has come loose a few times, and have to be retightened excessively to keep it from wobbling. The battery life is pretty good and lasts me a couple of days of several mile rides. Speed is good - I get 20mph on flats, 30+ on the downhills, which is fun. Peddling is hardly required unless you are going uphill. I almost never touch the gearing, basically keep it in low gear at all times. The gear selector got somewhat tweaked and grinds against the chain if I go up too high in gears, but I am sure this my own fault for tossing the bike around. Some parts of good quality, some are pretty cheap and should be upgraded out of the box. The best part of it all was the price, so you get what you pay for. But definitely a great deal and the perfect beginner e-bike! ... show more
