You can make several nifty shapes with this, and it's pretty fun and interesting for a while. They snap together nicely. Doesn't feel like a super quality, amazing desk toy thing for an adult, but it's still entertaining for an adult. Definitely a fun thing for a kid. My three year old played with it for quite a while. Generally good although probably overpriced. Update: Okay, so there's more than 10 shapes you can make--maybe I was being a bit petty with the title. But saying "1 Billion" is absurd nonetheless. It comes with a little booklet showing about 50 nifty shapes you can make, which I wasn't paying attention to initially but does kind of make it a game trying to reproduce them. Many of the shapes are more of a nifty arrangement for a specific point of view rather than a stable shape you could pick up and spin on the included spinny stand. That stand is actually very good and spins with almost no friction. This really is a fun little thing to have around, and my now four-year-old still loves it.

This thing is so cool, I bought it for my 10 year old son who LOVES legos and building things. He’s had a ton of fun figuring out the different shapes. The magnets are strong enough to stay together for the most part. We’ve had a couple of incidents where he’s picked it up and walked with it to show me something and it’s dropped and pieces flew everywhere. That definitely isn’t a downside, just maybe a precaution to warn them not to travel across the room with it! I think the simplicity can get a little intimidating, but if your child is anything like mine, they’ll get over it quickly and build the coolest looking things! It’s only 12 pieces, so it’s really easy to throw in a small bag and take it with us. Another sort-of precaution, the magnets are not strong enough to keep it together if it’s sat down haphazardly, so we’ve had to have a few discussions about being careful and mindful of where/how he’s playing with it and putting it away, etc. Overall, it’s been super cool and would definitely recommend!

I would rate it more along a 3.5. I like the designs and that the pieces are light weight. Its also fidgety in that i can play around with it a bit and the book of ideas is nice. The main draw back for me is the magnet strength as they are pretty small and not too strong so if you do fidget with it too much you run the risk of your design coming apart and after a few times of it happening it can be a little frustrating. If you care more about build a cool design and having it on display and changing it every once in a while than fidgeting with it, i think you may like it.

Listen, I bought the TOSY Magnet Pyramid Stone – 12 cubes thinking it’d be a cute little desk toy. You know, something to fidget with while pretending to be productive. But no one warned me that these things are basically intellectual catnip. They click. They snap. They form shapes I didn’t even know I had the geometry skills for. I sat down to “just test them out” and suddenly it was three hours later and I had constructed what I’m pretty sure was a modern art masterpiece. The magnets? Stronger than my willpower around a clearance sale. The texture? Smooth and sleek—like they were carved by magnetic gods. I even caught my friend trying to “borrow” one cube and nearly turned into Gollum: “My precious magnet!” If you want something that’s equal parts stress-relief, creativity boost, and personality flex—get these. If you don’t, that’s fine… more magnetic greatness for the rest of us. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Final Verdict: Add to cart. Immediately. Resistance is futile.
