The only downside that I can see is that the basin flooring is made of the same material as the sides of the tent and so it will require something sturdy and waterproof underneath it like a heavy duty tarp or something to protect the bottom. Great Tent easy to assemble light weight easy to take apart I would note : this tent is more so only a 2 person tent without beds it Is plus size friendly but if you do put a bed in there depending on the bed you will not have much room to really move around in and in that case its only a one person tent. all depends on what all you put in it accessory wise if you put nothing in it then its more of a two person tent :) I would definitely be cautious of how rough you are with the poles and zippers ; gentle is the way to go not rough when it comes to this product it does seem like it will be rain proof and water proof and has a good amount of openings to let air in and circulate. as of now everything I found that may be of importance I have written in this review. :) ... show more

I set the tent up to make sure everything was good before the trip and one of the interior zippers broke as I was zipping them up. Everything else was fine, decent quality for the money. Was compact and light enough for a canoe and the perfect size for two people with two twin size air mattresses. Sometimes things happen and I don't think the zipper issues is common and no one has 100% QA. So I'm not saying that you should avoid purchasing, just making sure people are aware in the event this becomes an ongoing issue. They refunded the purchase with no hassles. I didn't have them replace it since our trip was cancelled anyway. I like the tent and will likely order another one in the future. I will update the review when I do. ... show more

I was looking for a simple lightweight tent. I got caught up in torrential pounding rain and wind on a mountain where there was 0% rain forecasted. This little guy withstood what felt like hurricane force winds. I had a little bit of a drip come in the top hatch. The seams got wet but overall for the price this tent is great basic tent. I tried setting up the tent at home. The poles are too long and one was longer than the other. One pole was difficult to insert. The longer pole was impossible. Unfortunately it is past the return window and there is no customer support for this product.
