This little device works great. the wireless component lets me control the temp and humidity while away via an app.. I also have a wireless monitor that tells me the same. It is relatively small and compact for an upright. It is not terribly quiet but not terribly loud. I have heard quieter systems like a mini split but definitely louder AC's whether portable or home units. I love it. California Sun does a number on the shed so I have umbrellas to help with that. On Low unit still helps cool but on extreme weather days, I set it at 80-85. I don't want to run it on High but I am sure it would cool even more so, if that were the case. ... show more

I am extremely happy with the TOSOT 9,700BTU (5,000 BTU SACC) Portable Air Conditioner. I’ve been using this unit in my microgreens grow room since November 2023, and it has been running nonstop for over a year—only pausing for occasional filter cleaning and a quick wipe-down. It’s incredibly reliable and has exceeded my expectations. What really sets this unit apart is the dehumidification feature. In a grow room environment, excess humidity can quickly lead to mold and crop loss, but this unit keeps everything under control. Without it, I’d be at serious risk of losing my harvests. For reference, my grow room is about 200 square feet and can get very humid, but this AC handles it with ease. Another standout feature is the smart WiFi control via the phone app. The ability to monitor and adjust the unit remotely is a game-changer. For example, I can be an hour away at a farmers market and switch the mode from "cool" to "fan" right from my phone. It’s so convenient and something I’ve never had with previous units. I very highly recommend the TOSOT Portable Air Conditioner to anyone considering it. It’s an excellent investment, especially if you need reliable cooling and dehumidification.     • Very good, just narrowly escaping greatness

This does a good job cooling a small space. It's relatively quiet, but the compressor is rather loud. I have a 15 yr old Sharp portable AC which is much quieter during operation, though it doesn't have a soft start like this Tosot does. So, the Sharp startles you when it kicks on, but then remains quieter during operation. At 3 ft, the Tosot measures 58 dB during operation while the Sharp measures 54. That's actually a noticeable difference. The Sharp also generates colder air, though I'd imagine the Freon used 15 yrs ago was different, and less "ozone friendly" though I bet more efficient and thus more "environmentally friendly/energy efficient". That said, the Tosot does a reasonable job, is very inexpensive, is tiny, and hopefully I'll get at least 10 yrs out of it. ... show more

Update June 16 2024 , still working but making a lot of noise .. hope it can make it to the year .The a/c unit is nice , some noise but not a lot. the problem is the Wifi!! It will NOT connect if you in USA . if i knew that , i would order the one without wifi . AMAZON , as always , helped me and gave me a refund for the diference. Has an auto shut down mode that cannot be turned off. EXTREMELY ANNOYING. the temp will get perfect and then turn off until the temp gets extremely warm and then ac will turn on for a couple minutes before turning back off

Got it today. Set it up. Turned it on and it dropped my entire apartment by 6 degrees within 2 hours. Will definitely be getting another in a week or two before spring gets here. When I say this thing blows cold air I mean it blows COLD AIR. I have a one bedroom apartment and a second one will definitely keep my entire apartment cool for the summer. Till it start to heat up will have it set up ready to go. But definitely pleased with how well it functions. The second one I plan to set in the bedroom. Really love this thing. Beats a 364 dollar electric bill. Definitely looking forward to saving money this summer by running this instead of central ac ... show more
