  • Excellent Microwave Of All Time! Review Updated!
Size: 2.2 Cu Ft
The microwave is nice and large. It works like a champ for all things microwavy. There was a surprising claim and a dedicated button on the control panel that says "Frozen Pizza" and the manual even shows to place the frozen pizza directly on the glass turntable, up to 16 inches. Knowing what I do of physics, my doubt meter was clicking. I got a frozen pizza. I placed it as suggested and used the Frozen Pizza option, which displayed the Sensor Cooking feature as well was activated. This is the ONLY feature that fails. The toppings were cooked perfectly. The crust? A floppy flimsy uncooked mess that wanted to roll up like a cheap newspaper. Everything works as suggested except for that ONE thing, the frozen pizza button is a bust. Do not use that button with a real live frozen pizza unless you are intending to make a mess. That is why it earned 3 stars instead of 5. It got my pizza loving hopes up, and it murdered a perfectly innocent pizza in a most terrible manner. Veggies, taters, everything else, popcorn buttons and their bag sizes. all worked flawlessly. Like stated, if it's for the microwave, you're good. RIP frozen pizzas. It was a nice idea, but dough doesn't cook right in the microwave particles. *Upon Edit on 9/29/25* Nearly a year later, a few things dawned on me that told me to come here and re-do my 3 star to a well deserved 5 star review and here is why! First and foremost, the frozen pizza issue. I mistook the concept for an 'unbaked' frozen pizza. This is not the frozen pizza they were talking about. It's about an already cooked frozen pizza from the freezer, saved from a previous meal. The baked dough is defrosted but the toppings get the cook up and is done perfectly. Why this matters? Regular microwaves tend to keep cooking already baked frozen bread, and makes it rock hard. We know how microwaves do this to bread products. Reheat a cold muffin, the moment it cools off to being edible, it hardens into a hockey puck. This microwave will not do that. Second thing I noticed and it took a bit. The turntable sensor technology is truly OUTSTANDING! How so? Put a bowl, plate or cup on the turntable that is not perfectly centered. It turns while cooking or reheating, no matter the setting, when the timer finishes, the turntable keeps going until the food is at its closest to the front door so it's easier to remove. That is truly awesome! As I am in a wheelchair, not having to lean forward an inch more to reach the heated plate/bowl/cup because it is right there in the front and closest to you is a thing of true dedication to service! NICE WORK, TOSHIBA! So from 3 to 5 stars and it's well earned. I love this microwave and if you do not buy it, you are missing out! Worth every penny I spent! ... show more

  • Nice unit, but takes some getting used to
Size: 2.2 Cu Ft
This is a very nice,. very functional unit,. which operates a bit differently than the old one it replaced. * I could not get the door open. It has a child proof door lock, which apparently is also old person proof. Once you get used to it, it's not a problem * Go to enter a time into it and as soon as you press the first number button, it starts cooking for that many minutes. Actually, this is pretty handy, just a big surprise until you figure out what is going on. If you want to enter a time other than a number of minutes, you have to hit the "time" button first. * When the cycle completes, it does not beep. It rotates the turntable to the initial position and THEN beeps. Handy, but disconcerting. * if you don't open the door, it beeps again every so often to remind you. I really like this, because I've been known to cook something and forget about it. It does all the things a microwave is supposed to do. In addition, it has a number of "sensor" settings, which seem useful. The only one I've used is the "potato" one, and it works pretty well. It cooks them a lot quicker than I'm used to, so I turn it over and give it 1 additional minute when it thinks it is done, but when I forget to, it still turns out good. One annoying quirk is the cord comes out of the right side and is pretty short. My outlet is on the left side of where it has to go, so I had to order a short heavy duty extension cord to be able to plug it in. Would I buy it again? Certainly ... show more

  • quiet, safe and powerful microwave
Size: 2.2 Cu Ft
This is a great microwave. Everything comes out really hot without needing to run it a lot of time. Easy to clean, the glass tray washes easily. The safety handle takes a little getting used to, but is a great feature. This microwave is easy to work, setting the clock is very easy, lots of options. We use ours every day, very happy with this one. ... show more

  • LOOKS GOOD, CHEAPLY MADE THOUGH, NEVER AGAIN!
Size: 2.2 Cu Ft
Looks good, but cheaply made. I ordered one, it made an awful noise when I tried it, so I returned it to Amazon for a full refund and purchased another one, thinking that I just got “a lemon” the first time. THE EXACT SAME AWFUL NOISE OCCURRED WITH THE SECOND ONE. After returning the SECOND microwave, I ordered an “Insignia” Large countertop microwave from BestBuy. It looks just as good as the Toshiba, it was less expensive than the Toshiba, it’s just as big as the Toshiba AND it runs SO QUIET, I honestly find myself checking to make sure I hadn’t forgotten to turned it on. Don’t waste your money or your time like I did. Order the “Insignia” brand large microwave from BestBuy (I ordered on the BestBuy app and it was delivered THE NEXT DAY, LOVE IT)!! ... show more

  • Microwave
Size: 2.2 Cu Ft
It heats very fast. It really is large enough to fit a whole pizza inside. Doesn’t splat that bad and no steam. It really does have tempt control. Only issue I have is it rattles extremely loud so my brother mounted a rubber thing on the side to make the vibration stop. If it wasn’t for the very very loud vibrating rattle I would have rated this a 5 star bc everything else is perfect. ... show more

  • Great microwave that will handle everything you want to microwave
Size: 2.2 Cu Ft
This microwave is large enough to meet my needs! I tried a small one (half the cubic feet) and took it back when I realized I couldn't even get a 9x13 casserole in it. This one can handle that. I am very pleased; the price was reasonable, too. I was replacing a huge microwave I bought in the mid-80's (yes, really) that burned out after over 40 years. I hope this one lasts as long! ... show more

  • I haven't owned it long, but it is great so far
Size: 2.2 Cu Ft
First, I think it's a mistake for Amazon to group all these microwave models together. They are very different and it makes the ratings and details and Q&A confusing. The best part about this model is the large size, while not being overly or comically huge. The sensor reheat works great too! Just 2 buttons and reheating starts, which is probably half of what I even use the microwave for. The large 1200watt power is great to speed up cooking too, a great thing to have. The light is also good, and the pull-door open works well however a bit clunky. Having simple buttons is great too, the 1-2-3-4-5-6 buttons are all quick start, since they cover a lot of what we use microwaves for, quick timed cooking. And the +30sec button as well. What could be improved? The biggest problem is with the control readability. The text (using unnecessary words like "Kitchen Timer" rather than just "TIMER") are not easy to read in indirect light. A backlight would have been a bonus. As it is, I stuck labels to the most used buttons and it's much easier to read now. In addition, there are far too many codes, like "CL-1" and "SN-5" or whatever. How much more would it have cost for a small text display to say something like "Rice" instead?! As it is, the manual will get lost and people won't use these functions...unfortunate. Also, the stainless steel exterior is for the very front only, like a façade. While I am sure this is to save cost, in this case a microwave is often easy to see from the sides and top, which are a cheap-ish looking black. It would have been much nicer to make the whole thing look the same from the front as it looks from the side. But other than a few things that could be improved, it's really a great unit so far! ... show more

  • Excellent product
Size: 2.2 Cu Ft
I bought this microwave two years ago, it’s really/early right now and I looked up the setting for the volume (btw just press and hold 8 for three seconds) and as I’m sitting here having some tea I am noticing a negative review or two posted about durability, I’ve had this for over two years now with my children and the neighborhood kids constantly using it daily and it still works just as well as the first day I opened it. For the naysayers I am willing to bet it’s an id 10 t error seeing as how it’s not been babied at all here and works perfectly, those reviewers are the ones failing to mention “it broke after three months of heating up food with the fork in it ready to eat with, or it only heated up five car batteries before it stopped working, or I tried running it without anything in it and my food did not get warm” that or purchased reviews from other companies being haters. Also, while I’m bored at 5am looking further into the 1stars, those people are consistently posting trash talk, they are either paid actors or the type of person there is no pleasing. Daily ‘normal’ consistent use from people ages 8-50ish and it’s still the best microwave I’ve ever bought, evenly heats quickly and efficiently. Exceptionally functional sensors and user friendly features. ... show more
