    • Change those factory settings unless you like “energy saving mode”
Helpful advice to other buyers: This television seems like a standard HD television because from the factory they have it set to “energy saving model” which means the picture isn’t that good until you simply tweak it in the settings, also it’s quite bright so you can turn on adaptive lighting smart intelligence mode and that solves that. Don’t be afraid to buy this great television, it’s Made In Mexico I noticed when unboxing it, it’s very light weight approximately 22 pounds for the 50” we purchased, it’s got good sound and great picture I would consider this over an OLED not just for budget but I think the QLED technology which this particular budget friendly television has is better overall. Hopefully it’s reliable, I’m satisfied with my purchase but yes tweak those factory settings unless you want to save a tiny bit of energy and you will see a nice vivid picture in no time. ... show more

    • It IS a FireTV
Notice this is a FireTV. That just means it has amazon branding with FireTV/AmazonPrime video permanently displayed on the home screen. If you watch Prime Video, use Alexa, and like everything Amazon you should be OK with this. The TV even asks you to login to Amazon, but it's not required. I just use the TV as a monitor with AppleTV connected to HDMI1, so I don't have to see the annoying FireTV/Alexa/PrimeVideo in front of me all the time. ... show more
