  • Really great picture and sound
Size: 43-inch
This tv is lightweight and the picture is excellent. It’s very bright and the blacks come through as well. It looks as good as when it’s in the store. It has a remote control that is not just the tv but also the fire tv. Easy to use. The sound can be adjusted to very loud. It fit on my rolling tv stand perfectly. Easy to setup; it prompts you every step. Great quality and value. ... show more

  • Very good TV with good features for the money.
Size: 55-inch
This is a surprisingly good TV for the money, especially if you catch it on sale, as I did. Once you turn off the energy saving mode (and you DO want to) the picture quality is excellent - good enough that you will need to spend $1000 more to get something that is definitely, noticeably better. (I went to a local TV/Audio dealer and almost sprung for a $1300 unit, but this picture is nearly as good.) This TV also has some features that are hard to find in the user interface, but are surprisingly nice, including the ability to set up the remote to automatically turn on and off my 40 year-old(!) Harmon/Kardon receiver, and use the volume buttons on the remote to control its volume. (I did have to buy a TOSLINK fiber optic audio to RCA adapter, since this TV does not have analog audio out, even though one of the photos shows a headphone jack that is not there on this TV.) On the Smart TV side of things, the menus and UI are reasonably quick, and the included YouTube app works well. (I don't subscribe to the other services.) The muddiness in Prime Video movies is still there, but seems a bit better on this than the FireTV I had on the old TV. But you can also use it as a dumb TV, since you can set it up to automatically start up displaying a specific input. The OTA HDTV tuner is also a bit better than my old Samsung TV, bringing in a few channels that it couldn't always grab and hold. My only gripes are the lack of analog audio out, and that the front legs stick out a bit too far, but those are minor. If it turns out to last and run reliably for many years, it'll be a real winner! ... show more

  • Good enough, but doesn't include analog inputs or headphone jack as advertised.
Size: 43-inch
This one is confusing to set up. It's missing the analog inputs and headphone jack that is pictured. Once you get it set up it's decent for the price. However, the fire tv interface can be verrrry sluggish and often not intuitive. I would avoid this tv for people who are not good with technology. 4k steaming content usually stutters on youtube tv, so we have to watch 1080p feeds or it's not usable. That is pretty unacceptable considering a 4K panel should be at least powerful enough to view 4K content. I got it on sale for a very low price, so I am still happy which gives it back 1 more star. 4/5 ... show more

  • Change those factory settings unless you like “energy saving mode”
Size: 50-inch
Helpful advice to other buyers: This television seems like a standard HD television because from the factory they have it set to “energy saving model” which means the picture isn’t that good until you simply tweak it in the settings, also it’s quite bright so you can turn on adaptive lighting smart intelligence mode and that solves that. Don’t be afraid to buy this great television, it’s Made In Mexico I noticed when unboxing it, it’s very light weight approximately 22 pounds for the 50” we purchased, it’s got good sound and great picture I would consider this over an OLED not just for budget but I think the QLED technology which this particular budget friendly television has is better overall. Hopefully it’s reliable, I’m satisfied with my purchase but yes tweak those factory settings unless you want to save a tiny bit of energy and you will see a nice vivid picture in no time. ... show more

  • The Spectrum remote code is 690
Size: 50-inch
This TV replaced a 6-year-old Samsung in my bedroom that died prematurely. Contrary to some reviews, I prefer the energy saver mode on. I use it more at night than during the day and I did tweak the color a little. I'm old school--from the days of tube-type color TVs I serviced. One important thing I discovered quite by accident is the code for the Spectrum universal remote is 690 when programming it for this TV, which is Westinghouse in their list. I like the small remote that comes with the TV. It's more like a Fire Stick remote and works well even under bedsheets. I like the nice clear numbers of the time display when I hit the setup button. I can read it without my glasses. Sound quality is OK but nothing fantastic. Setup was easy and it imported my old Fire Stick apps. It's easy switching from HDMI1 for cable to the FireTV mode and I have it set to power on in the last mode used, which is always HDMI1. It's a very good TV for the money and delivery was excellent and earlier than they said it would be. ... show more

  • This TV punches above its weight class!
Size: 43-inch
The picture quality is actually really solid. The vivid but natural color tones. It is edge lit so you aren’t gonna get deep blacks they’re going to be slightly gray around the edges. But the middle it’s pretty dark. The brightness is actually really good even though stat wise it’s on the low side. You may struggle in a room with too much sun directly on the screen but in the dark room it’s spectacular. It is 60hz but I would say it handles motion pretty well and if it doesn’t it has a few AI options that help with that. It does offer a game mode. At this cheap price you would be surprised but IT DOES HAVE DOLBY VISION! I would not recommend this TV if you’re gonna use the fire OS it is laggy and has connectivity issues. Sometimes I personally use my Apple TV 4K and it’s a seamless experience so if you do use an external streaming box, you’ll be good even a Roku 4K stick. The viewing angles are really good unless you’re literally standing on the side of it I bought this to use with my Apple TV 4K and sound through my HomePod mini but honestly, I saw some reviews that complained about the sound, but I think it sounds really good and it’s pretty loud too TV in this price point especially if you catch it on sale I would say you really can’t go wrong with it, especially if you use a external streaming box instead of the internal OS the color accuracy in the picture are really good out of the box The only tip I would recommend is turning on filmmaker mode ... show more
