I was pleased to open the box (which arrived two days after I ordered) and find the springs both carefully wrapped in foam and plastic, clearly labeled per current standards. I was more pleased to find that the anti-slip gloves were a substantial knit material with plastic nub coating on the palms and fingers, and they actually stretched to comfortably cover my XL hands. I'd seen that the turning bars, included, have rubber handles so that was not surprising but still I was glad to see the photo had not lied. But--here's what blew me away--there is an instruction book with these springs that spells out, in clear English, very thoroughly, exactly how to take OUT the old broken spring, how to safely release the tension from the still-good spring, how to use two different vise-grips to keep from getting your nose broken and make balancing the two sides of the door perfectly straightforward--all with pretty darn clear pictures. As an engineer and a technical writer, I'm rarely impressed but this was the exception that tests the rule. The manual even suggested how many quarter-turns to give a seven foot and eight foot high door (32 and 36, respectively--information I had searched through a dozen YouTube videos to find, in vain. And you know what? These springs didn't leave any oil marks on my gloves, worked just fine, and were one of the least expensive options of the many out there. I tell you, I almost wish my other door's springs would break just so I could order from this company again. I'm that happy. ... show more

Great fit replacing a broken spring. Broke one spring and replaced both with kit. Tools included to adjust springs work well. Instructions for installation was easy and complete. Installed as instructed and the garage door works.
