Wow, I really love my blanket! As a person who suffers from mental health issues as well as sensory problems, it has made all the difference in helping me to get to sleep, and stay asleep. If you share the bed with someone, and they don’t want to have the blanket over them too, a twin size works just fine. I sleep on a full mattress with my husband next to me, who doesn’t care for weighted blankets. The twin just covers me and keeps him free of the extra weight. I like that the twin is roughly the size of just the top surface of a twin bed mattress, and doesn’t hang off the side. I think if it did, the weight would pull it off the bed. It’s a good idea to get a duvet cover as well, to keep the blanket nice and clean, although I’ll probably figure out how I can keep the blanket itself fresh as well, as you’re not really supposed to wash weighted blankets themselves - the little glass beads would probably turn to dust. I got the 20 pound one and it works well for me, I’ve read it’s good to get about 10 percent of your body weight, or slightly more. I’m taller woman of average weight for the US, to give you an idea. I don’t get terribly hot with this blanket on, and I’m of the age where women get hot flashes, so that’s a good thing. I don’t sweat like crazy when I use it, but it keeps me warm enough that I’m comfortable. They do take a little getting used to. At first you might feel a little achy the next day, just when you first wake up, but if you hang in there, a few days after that, you’ll be fine. You’ll also find it’s the best sleep you’ve gotten in years. I don’t even notice the weight anymore, I just notice the relaxation, and how I feel “snug as a bug in a rug”. It makes me feel warm and safe, and somehow helps all my stress, anxiety, and depression just melt away. Sometimes I just relax in bed when I’m having trouble concentrating, or overwhelmed by life’s challenges, and this blanket just does the trick to help me feel better. I cannot recommend this enough if you’re a person like me who is neurodivergent and needs a little something extra to give them a treat at the end of a long day. ... show more

The first one for me and I loved it so much that I got another one for my mom. I can't even begin to describe how warm, safe and peaceful this blanket makes me feel. In fact I daydream of my bed all day long at work lol. I purchased the queen 20lb blanket for both and I've recommended them to several people. I gifted this blanket to my kid, who is a sensitive little soul and often asks for someone to cuddle with or for literally lie on top of them in order to settle down. I think this blanket helps with calming down. It's soft enough and looks well-constructed. I like that the beads are glass instead of plastic as I am trying to reduce the amount of plastic we use. The blanket came in a zip up case that we can store the blanket in when it gets too hot here (as long as we can figure out how to stuff it back in). The information pamphlet included has a weird origin story on the back...I suggest some editing of that (or removing it completely), if the company is reading this... My kids all have one, and now I finally do too! I think it really does improve my sleep and it feels great on. Weight is evenly distributed per each sewn square. It is very heavy to move around, so I'd consider what size weight you can maneuver around easily. Omg i absolutely love this blanket. It is the cutest weighted blanket I have seen. I got this for my dachshund ☺️. She lights being under our pillows or under our legs and I figured why not just get her a weighted blanket. This one weights three pounds all together. There are several kinds. She absolutely loves her blanket. It’s not heavy to have on her. It’s a good quality size to keep a child warm. It will probably help them sleep faster. I cannot talk about a child since I got this for my dog lol. But I can say my dog knocks out way faster once she goes under blanket then before. I def recommend. ... show more
