I used these to lift a 5.7 Hemi from a 2013 Ram 1500. I used only 2x brackets, bolted them onto the cylinder heads using 1" Grade 10 bolts to allow them to swivel a bit. I easily clipped the carabiners onto the brackets and was able to fasten a 3 ft span of chain between them. The angle of the brackets, combined with the easy to use carabiners, allowed me to pull the engine and manipulate it onto a dolly without having to remove the intake manifold or any other commonly removed accessories. Once I had the engine lifted by the hoist. When I reinstalled the motor, I tightened the brackets to make sure they would be ready to go in the future. Absolutely love them! I'm looking forward to using these to help manipulate transmissions and rear differentials in my shop. The carabiner safety gate is a breeze to screw shut with one hand and the polished surface cleans up readily and always looks great. This is a very well thought out product with an incredible weight capacity that will safely work on all engines from small air cooled 4 cylinders to monster big blocks. The brackets are attractive and I am leaving them on the engine for future maintenance tasks. I am going to mount the 2x extra brackets on the wall studs in the corner of my shop and hang a hammock from them for some post-wrenching relaxing!

I really appreciate this product because the ease of use and functionality. I decide to purchase this product because the fasteners are separate. I will be lifting the engine often to work on it and needed a quick connect and disconnect system. I am more than satisfied with the purchase. The manufacturing is also top notch. These worked great and looked good doing it while pulling my small black Chevy. The brackets have a great fit and finish, and if you’re a hot rodder who pulls your engine out often, you’ll be happy to leave them in place. Hardcore jewelry. The carabiners make it very easy to connect and reconnect when adjusting your lift chains. However one of mine did bend, I thought I was diligent to screw the lock sleeves in place, but it is possible I didn’t that one time. So now there are three. I would like to see replacements offered since I am not likely to shell out for another complete set.

Versatile and tough, wish I had these a long time ago. Makes an engine swap a lot easier. I have only used on a Ford but their uses appear nearly unlimited. Best Amazon purchase I have made in a long time. Appear to be nearly indestructible
