I bought this welding helmet as a Christmas gift for my husband five years ago, and it has been a staple in his home shop ever since. Initial Impressions vs. Reality: When we first opened it, I was a bit concerned that the plastic felt a little thin or flimsy. However, for the price point and the fact that he’s a casual home welder rather than a full-time pro, it has been surprisingly durable. Fit & Comfort: The adjustable headgear provides a secure fit. It stays in place well and doesn't feel overly heavy during use, which is important for longer projects. Auto-Darkening & Brightness: The auto-darkening feature has been incredibly reliable over the last five years. It switches quickly and effectively, protecting his eyes every time he strikes an arc. The lens brightness and clarity are also excellent, making it easy to see exactly what he’s doing before and during the weld. Durability: After five years of being used "somewhat often," it shows some natural signs of wear, but it hasn't cracked or failed. I'm very impressed with how it has held up. A very great helmet for beginners had this helmet for a couple of years in and out of school the battery last for quite a long time had not need to change them out since bought new has handled every toss and drops with great durability. auto darkening works really well with its adjustable nob up to shade 13 and grind mode as well the size and fit works great with my head no complaint will buy again ... show more

This is by now means a top of the line helmet. But it has lasted over a year now and it is still auto darkening. For the price you can't beat that. It does feel very cheap at times, the head band and the connection to the helmet, but the helmet and auto darkening function itself, work very well.

I work in the Auto body repair industry and I ordered this welding mask for work and Holy cow does it preform! And not mention this looks amazing all my classmates love it. This mask is light wieght and that's a good thing since I have a injured neck form 2 car accidents. So it beimg light wieght does let put any strain on my neck if am using it for a long period of time while welding body panels on and frame components. When I first ordered it I didn't know what to expect and tbh I was expecting this to be a bulky mask but im so glad that isn't the case. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a welding mask. If you are just getting into welding this is the perfect starter mask or if you need an affordable replacement this is the one for you. Even come with a protective bag! I bought this helmet for my nephew for his welding school graduation. He used it one week and it started falling apart. It is super flimsy material but otherwise it’s nice for the price.
