These marks must be aligned when fitting the tubes to the little nipple connector. If they are not, the tubes are difficult to pound together. I also wiped lubricant on the end of each tube and they were easier to put together. LOL, I used my Pam spray. You just need a very small amount on a paper towel. Also My fingers were not strong enough to snap the shelves together so I used the pliers to snap them. The shelves snap in. Pull the tubes over to fit the shelves. Watch the video. Came in alot of pieces was so hard to figure out how to put it together. Instruction was not helpful. I do not reccomend buying this.i will probably thow it in trash before wasting hours of time trying to put together. Junk for the price

I like this unit for what intend to use it for. It is lightweight and easy to assemble. It is fairly sturdy, though I wouldn't place anything too heavy on there, anything breakable on it, nor would I put it in a high traffic area as I don't think it would take much to knock it over. The price is definitely a good price for what you get. The one thing I don't like about it is the paw prints on the two part shelves go in opposite directions, it bothers my OCD, that is the reason for the 4 stars. ... show more

This is hands down the worst product I have ever purchased. The instructions are simply a picture making it extremely confusing and easy to connect pieces that shouldn't be connected. When you do make that mistake of connecting pieces incorrectly there is no way fix it. So a 30 piece set with 1 wrong step is ruined. If I would have read the reviews before purchasing I probably wouldn't have...so I'm glad I didn't and am very happy with my purchase. Shelf is durable and works great as the plant stand I intended for it to be. I was unable to assemble myself and after I finally read the reviews I prepared my boyfriend for needing a rubber mallet but his hulk strength allowed him to put this together with ease. I purchased 2 shelves and he had both together in under 45 minutes. Would purchase again after seeing how easily he was able to put it together. I would however recommend a rubber mallet..the pieces are very hard to assemble otherwise. ... show more

I wasn't expecting much after all of the garbage racks I have ended up with. This one is super sturdy. Install is a little time consuming, and you need to make sure you pay attention to the orientation of the T connector pieces, but at least there are no screws, bolts, or small parts. You just insert plastic into plastic and pound it in. There is a mallet in the box to help pound the pieces together. Highly recommended. ... show more

I read the reviews after I purchased this item and by all accounts I have to admit I was a bit disappointed by all the negative reviews on assembly instructions However It took less than 45 minutes to assemble and turned out great! Suggestion for other buyers. Use a rubber mallet to assemble the support brackets but use it gently, the shelf is ABS, NOT STEEL. LOOK at all the pieces BEFORE you put it together to avoid making a mistake. Mine turned out great, easy to assemble and fits in the space I needed it to go, in fact I may order another. Lastly, sadly it’s made in China I prefer to by American but it appears most of Amazon’s products are MADE IN CHINA. ... show more
