  • So glad I went with the TOOCAA L2!!!!
Size: 20W Deluxe Bundle
I purchased the TOOCAA L2 laser 20-watt laser in late August 2025. It was my first laser. I thought long and hard about making the investment. It’s a big-ticket item to be sure. I knew there would be a learning curve, but I was up and running fairly quickly. First, I LOVE the design and functionality of the TOOCAA L2 laser. The bed size is absolutely wonderful. It offers more options than many other popular brands, with smaller beds and enclosures that limit the size of projects you can create on them. The amber enclosure spares my eyes and the need to wear safety glasses while I work near it. Of course, I don’t stare at it even with that safety enclosure, but when checking progress, it’s nice to know that I don’t have to find safety glasses for every momentary observation. I purchased a bundle that included air assist and a camera, and I’m so glad I did. Both are indispensable. The camera takes a lot of guesswork out of placement, and the air assist gives me wider flexibility on speed and power without risking scorch marks on the wood. It also included the air purifier. That worked well, but I decided to vent my laser directly outside. Much less noise and odor. The instructions for assembly were pretty easy to follow. Where there were questions…there was no help for it. They assume you’ll figure it out. That was a bummer. Not even the website has a functional help tool. It’s basically an online version of the included assembly instruction manual. I tried the TOOCAA software. It works. But it isn’t as user-friendly or as robust as Lightburn. I appreciate that TOOCAA included free software, though. It allowed me to create something right out of the box. Sadly, the files that were supposed to be written on the micro sd card that connected the laser to Lightburn (and the practice project) weren’t there. Three weeks after I started using it, the laser gantry went haywire. It was having a seizure of some kind. It was sudden and inexplicable. I went to the website, and there was absolutely no help to be found. The Customer Service phone number available was in China, LOL. The chat window hasn’t been monitored since May 2025 (this was September). With only one more week left in the return window, I went to Amazon to find out what my options were. There was an option to message the seller, so I did. In short order, I got a friendly response from James. I am so very grateful to James. He was wonderful. He asked me not to return the unit before he could talk to the engineers and see if there was a solution. He said if it was an easy fix, they would send me the part. If it wasn’t an easy fix, they would send me a new laser. He asked me to send him video clips to show what the faulty behavior looked like so he could share it with the engineers. While I waited for a response, I went back online and looked at other brands. I was worried that I’d made a mistake buying from TOOCAA since they weren’t as well-known as others. I looked at ALL of the non-professional level brands. The more I compared them to my beautiful TOOCAA L2, the more I hoped there would be a good solution to my problem. The TOOCAA L2 features are just so much better than the others! There is more room. It has an attachment for cylindrical projects. It has extra-tall legs for doing extra-tall projects. None of the others in its class could match it for the features or the price. I crossed my fingers and waited to hear back from James. I really wanted to keep my beautiful TOOCAA L2! Soooo, they decided to send me a new laser. just 3 days later. It came with a 10-watt laser, which meant I now have 2 lasers to work with. I thought that was incredibly generous. I assembled the new laser unit. A little faster this time 😊And I have been happily using my TOOCAA L2 laser nearly every day for a month. I wanted to push it to the limit to make it prove itself to be a high-functioning and reliable laser. Happily, I can report that it’s been absolutely flawless. I have made so MANY cool things already. I teach craft classes to both children and elderly people each month. The ability to create much more creative and high-impact projects is just awesome. There are thousands of files available online to choose from. I am more than confident in my purchase. But even more confident that James will do whatever is necessary to make sure TOOCAA L2 owners are happy with their purchase. If you’re new to laser engraving and cutting, I recommend the TOOCAA L2 laser. No brand is perfect. But knowing the customer service and support are there to make things right is what matters most. ... show more

  • Great laser machine for crafts!
Size: 40W Deluxe Bundle
Wonderful laser, easy to assemble, easy to use right out of the box. Made very clean cuts, quite when using, if you have the filter and air assist you do not smell the product being cut. Worked better then my old CO2 laser did that did have flares, where the L2 did not. Would recommend for any hobbyist or small craft business. ... show more

  • I really like this engraver! Money well spent.
Size: 20W Rotary Bundle
I've been using laser engravers for a couple of years now. I'm really enjoying the ease of this machine. I really like their app as well. Yes, I have and use LightBurn, but for a basic cut or engrave I'm using the Toocaa app. The air purifier was shipped with a damaged corner. It works great and the company sent me a package of acrylics for my disappointment. The customer service is "spot on". I like working with people like that. I hope to add the 40 watt module when I can. Who knows, may they will send me a demo one. The laser comes mostly assembled, but you have to put the enclosure together. It was pretty straight forward and didn't take but about 30 minutes. I thought one of the power adapters was missing and they were quick to explain where it was in the shipping package. They agreed that it was in a strange place to ship and were going to chage the location. If you haven't noticed already, I really like this machine. ... show more

  • I'm sure it could be great after I fix it
Size: 20W Laser Engraver
My machine showed up with a cracked cover, and would not home, due to their in depth manual (sarcasm), it only took me 2 days of searching online to figure out how to fix it. Everything was pointing to the limit switches which are impossible to locate without nearly complete disassemble when in fact it was the belt dive needing adjustment. So now it homes but the quality of the test image and everything else has been horrible so I am re-aligning and leveling everything because it was either pre-assembled poorly or dropped at some point (most likely) and needing to be adjusted and calibrated. I was hoping to get away from the world of my CNC routers violent and regular maintenance for a stress free smooth word of laser cutting which was presented more like a printer so hopefully I will get it sorted and then I'll have a better idea what the machine is capable of. I don't doubt that its probably a lot for its price point if yours arrives in, "follow the instructions and create your fist successful project" working order but if not its not like the physical world of CNC router, put bit to surface, square, and zero set up. Everything I do is reliant on the unknown... is the head functioning correctly is it square is the frame absolutely straight etc. that I am not qualified or have the tools to verify so I am taking a minute before I decide that I hate the thing prematurely and come back to it when I am in the right space to deal with the frustration of trying to learn the nuance of laser cutting while fixing a less than perfect setup situation. I would have sent it back but the thought of disassembly and repacking and transporting this too large to carry box to anywhere leaves me debating if its worth the effort or just make the best of it as I am sure I will eventually have it sorted because I have dealt with more challenging projects. Its really more of the disappointment that this time was going to be a nice change from the dreaded multi day assembly and configuring and adjusting a learning the quirks of a new tool just to be all of the above. ... show more
