  • great quality
This mason bee/insect house is awesome. Great size, built very well and is sturdy with a nice wax coating on it. Also it's pretty. Bought it to replace several older cheap falling apart bee houses. Buy it.

  • Pollinators love it!
I mounted this a little lower than recommended at around 4 feet in my garden, near a lot of coneflowers and squash plants. I already had a lot of dragonflies and bees working my plants every morning when I put this up so I put this in an area that I knew they would be nearby already. It’s been about two months and honestly I haven’t checked it in a while so I’m not sure when things started moving in, but today I noticed that there are more than a dozen tubes nested in. It’s also a very nice looking and well-built house and looks great in the garden! ... show more

  • Great value for the money, cheap finish.
We bought two of these over a couple of years and they have been working great. However the finish is weak and you should be prepared to refinish them after a year or two. Ours were not in the rain but in the sun and the finish was destroyed.

  • Very sturdy, awaiting bees
This bee hotel is very sturdy, great quality for the money. I had one (what I think was) mason bee but it only hung around for a few days. I believe my clay source could be better. Next year I will try. I will await the leaf cutter bees during summer and update my review as I get into caring for them in the winter (if I get any this year) ... show more

  • Superior Workmanship
A new house and a few acres of land and we are trying to establish a decent bird habitat and garden. Mason bees have always been on our mind because they are great pollinators. So, I decided I would build the ultimate bee house. Problem was, I don't really have a shop set up and materials are so darned expensive. This house is the perfect answer. I could never build this house for what I paid for it. It rugged and finished well. The tubes are replaceable and it comes with plenty of hardware and instructions. Highly recommend. ... show more

  • Great purchase
Love how solid it is! It will last for years!

  • Nice item but was sent used one.
Nicely built. Wax coating was a little inconsistent. The main problem was that I was sent a used item. There was old bee material/dirt left inside the wood blocks.

  • Very well crafted
Received the beehouse in 3 days. Looks exactly like the picture. Design and cedar wood are first class and if you open the bottom hatch you can detect a slight cedar odor, reminiscent of a cedar chest. Design is such that this will be the best looking thing in my backyard. Comes with a bag of cedar chips to place in the lower chamber where the Mason Bees will hatch. I purchased 15 bees in Portland Oregon, and have them in my refrigerator. They cost about one dollar each. If you need good info. on Mason Bees, google Oregon State University. I love these little hard working guys, a great little hobby for sure. ... show more
