Incredibly convenient and very easy to set up
This is our very 1st per feeder and also our 1st pet! From about a month of using, I would say it is a great product. We have had out kitten for about 4 months and making sure she gets her nutrition, but doesn't eat too much involved a lot of work on our part. We had to keep an eye on the food bowl. Now we basically set it & forget about it. It was ridiculously easy to set it up. My 11-year old daughter put the whole thing together in less than 10 minutes! It permits anywhere from 1 to 6 portions to be scheduled per day. The capacity where the source food is stored (food tank) is large (4L) so it needs to be filled once in a while for us. Of course, if you have more than one pet, you will have to do this more often. The food tank also has a replaceable desiccant compartment inside to keep the food dry so it doesn't spoil. The whole unit is very attractive & not an eyesore, which was very important for my wife. The dispenser allows to record our voice to be played evert time food is dispensed. This is to "call" your pet to come eat & also serves to calm him/her for the days nobody is home. We have not set the "food call" feature up yet since one of us is home most of the times. We do plan to soon. Even without the food call, the unit makes a unique noise when the dry food is dispensed. Our kitten can hear this sound from pretty much anywhere from the house and comes running to eat the food! So, we may never need to record our voice to remind her to come eat! It was pretty easy to clean since a number of the parts are detachable and washed in a dishwasher. I also like the fact that it can be powered by 4 AA batteries in addition to the standard wall outlet. So far, the kitten as well all the family members are very pleased with this food dispenser!

Do NOT lose the instruction manual - EVER
This product is amazing, but if you lose the instruction manual you will never, ever, ever be able to figure out how to change the settings and it will become effectively useless. They do not put it online, and in fact the product itself is no longer even featured on their website.

Convenient cat feeder
Overall it’s working for what it is indexed for. Instructions can be a little complicated since they are manual and the lid is hard to take off without holding it a certain way. Overall good and keeps food fresh

So Handy
This is great for me and my cat. I have had this for several months now and I’m so glad I got it. It’s easy to setup and for my cat I only have to fill it twice a month.

Uses batteries even when plugged in
It uses the backup batteries even when plugged in. You never have backup battery power for power outages because they are used up first. This is a major fault.

The measurement is not known. It took a while to figure out that “1” = 1/16 of a cup.
Needs Improvement: 1) It would have been nice to know what unit of measure the numbers mean. 2) it would be nice to jump to the amount instead of having to go through each section every time you want to reprogram it. I LOVE: the metal bowl, the quietness, the ease in adding food.

Works great
This is awesome! My son set up the timer, it is in military time. Love that you can record your voice to call your animals! My cats weren't sure of it at first bit didn't take long for them to use it. So far it is racoon proof!!
