I haven’t quite figured out exactly how to determine what is too much or too little for my cats and I’ve had this for a few months now. I ultimately decided too much is better then to little. Great for vacations, but a pain to setup schedule. Dont like you cant turn it off to save battery without losing schedule settings.

Our male cat was eating too much and puking the food too often. This slows him down and he doesn’t eat as much so he is not getting chunky.

Programming instructions not the best, but workable. Feeds well. Would be nice to know the food quantity dispensed for a 1 setting, so we had to measure for our particular size food nuggets. 1/8 C for our size food, about 0.5 width.

I have to use a nanny cam to check it because it’s set up in the barn for the barn cats. Not sure if it’s still working in a timely fashion but it was when it went out there.

I bought this mainly as I was going on vacation for a week and wanted to test run it. It fed my cat on time and portion control and locking feature are awesome. You can setup multiple times a day and give different amounts. Operates on battery or USB power. Great value for money!

    • The bowl is too shallow
This was packaged nice and I'd rate it with excellent quality, but I didn't realize just how small the container would be. Most disappointing was that the bowl is very shallow and wasn't a good fit for our dogs. I initially wanted it to feed our two labs, but I quickly realized the bowl was too shallow even for ONE of our labs. Unfortunately, I had to return it. This may work for cats or very small dogs, but if you have any breed that needs to pack away a lot of food, it likely won't be a good fit. ... show more
