I traveled to Spain and Germany (Oktoberfest) for 14 days. I myself wanted to do a minimal pack, so just a backpack and small sling bag for the entire trip (I can’t stand the sound of luggage wheels on cobblestone/brick streets so I opted out of my usual carry on). This bag really delivered. I really pushed it to the limit space wise - it was straining by the end of the trip - but it kept everything tidy and secure. This is what I packed for my trip (with the aid of compression cubes and one vacuum bag): dirndl, dirndl blouse, dirndl apron, 8 tshirts, 1 pajama shirt, 8 pairs of underwear, 4 bras, a two piece swimsuit, bucket hat, jean shorts, a pleated skirt, a pair of low sneakers (Vans Ultrarange), sandals, 2 tote bags, jewelry bag, charger cords, small toiletry bag, a travel umbrella, travel adapter, and a foldable travel pillow, plus some miscellaneous items like wet wipes and liquid IV. By the end of the trip I filled it with 5 more tshirts and it was pretty tight in there. The buckles kept everything in place. I really like the compartment right at the top - gave me easy access to my medications. Also appreciated were the stretchy side pockets. That’s where I fit my pillow and umbrella. The weight of everything did make my back do some hard work; partially my fault BUT a waist strap would be something I’d like to see on this model, or maybe on a slightly bigger version of this bag. Nevertheless, the straps and the padded back felt very comfortable. I would say get this bag if you’re looking to 1) pack minimally, and 2) travel for up to 10 days. ... show more

I'm somewhat of a bag hoarder/collector and decided to pull the trigger on this bag after it was on sale and I'm really glad I did. I've purchased a bunch of travel backpacks from Peak Design, Aer, Osprey, etc. and I keep going back to this one for a few reason, -Lightweight while being resilient: There are more durable options for fabric from other companies but for me this bag hits the sweet spot for a lighter weight bag with acceptable abrasion resistance. -Simple Design: Bucket style hold with four compression straps and a separate back compartment for laptop, documents, and wires/valuables. Also has a front pocket for quick access (you can fit a lot but I recommend not putting things in the front pocket until after the main compartment is filled as the content in the main bag will dictate how much that front pocket can hold as things push against it) and a small pocket at the top nice for storing airpods, sunglasses, etc. I also like that it doesn't have a sternum strap but consider that when purchasing this if you do prefer one for weight distribution. The two water bottle pockets are also nice because they're so deep and not transparent like mesh but I used it more so for storing additional masks, or just throwing in change. I highly recommend using packing cubes or organizer with this bag though. So far it has survived multiple 3-14 day excursions, and 5 national parks. ... show more

Think I have seen several reviews that this is a small bag and that is just not true. Have traveled internationally for pleasure twice in the last 6 weeks and I have found it is a perfect bag to augment my stowed luggage. Carried all my cables, charges DSLR Camera,3 lenses, batteries, MacBook, IPad, Hoodie, Raincoat, emergency toiletries, documents, phones, Jeweley as I pass through security,. Being able to unzip the backpack in half has also reduced from having my bag pulled from the line and to be visually inspected. With the bag in half the X-ray machine lets them see everything. So it has saved me time during this process over my previous standard backpacks. Love the zippers and I am hoping the backpack will last as long as my other tomtoc products ... show more

I have had a lot of work backpacks over the years. Orvis and Jack Wolfskin have been two stand outs. This pack does an excelleny job for the price and overall functionality. Its main large conpartment can be used for cloths or for work related gear. It has a slot for a computer and tablet. I have used in for work travel and for vacation travel. I wish it had an interior hook for my keys that would be my only suggestion for improvment. Great for carry on luggage. Having it as a backpack is great so you don't have one hand occupied by a luggage handle. Don't have to deal with a roller bag on rough ground or stairs . Being able to access the main compartment from both sides is really useful. Being able to zip open the entire back panel with the laptop pouch is theoretically useful, but TSA has always made me take out the laptop anyway. ... show more

I bought this bag on a whim not expecting much for the price, but was very surprised at the quality and design of the bag. It’s the type of bag that’s normally a higher end name brand that you’d see an advertisement on Instagram or Kickstarter for. I used it as a carry on backpack to put under my seat with no problem. I found this bag fit the description and photos very well. I use it for travel often and it can take the punishment and use fairly well. The only downside, in my opinion, is that the top most pocket is oriented in such a way that often spills my items. This pack is very well put together. I am confident that it will last a very long time. The pockets are laid out in a very intuitive way as well. Zippers, clips, straps, etc are all high quality. Great for travel, and also just a great backpack in general.
