Great product! Mine finally died yesterday after 5 years of service. The hinge where you can tilt the umbrella broke on it's own (I was sleeping at the beach and when I woke up the umbrella was on the sand).

I loved this umbrella. It withstood some wind, allthough it is not so sturdy as the heavy wooden ones (which is a GREAT compromise since it is so lightwight to carry), the hight lock works great, it carry bag is great to unpack and pack again. I love the anchor, no need to carry another accessorie (allthough I did in case this did not work, but I did not have the need to use it!). It also has the opening on the top to allow heat and wind to escape. It is really great. I saw several on the beach, I guess we all bought it due to the great price point it had.

For years we always used cheap umbrellas because we never saw the sense in buying a “name brand” beach umbrella since we only go to the shore about 3-4 times each summer. Although I looked up Tommy Bahama umbrellas on Amazon and this was about 30 dollars cheaper than on the actual website so I said why not and give it a shot and I was actually very satisfied with this product. It truly does block out the sun and uv rays because my old umbrella showed faint patches of light but not this one. Also I love the Anchor screw at the bottom and the tilt feature. Side note, I was also impressed by how light weight the umbrella was since I heard Tommy bahama products can be more on the heavier side.

The unbrella is not strong enough to sustained the wind on beach. It turned inside out! The spokes are not strong enough.

I owned a Tommy Bahama umbrella just like this one and used it for 10 years. When I say “used” I mean used it hard. We live on the beach and used this almost every day. Naturally after such a positive experience, when the old one gave up the ghost I bought what I thought was the exact same model to replace it. However, it was nothing like the old one. It continually blew inside out in the mildest wind. The second time this happened, one of the supporting tines snapped. Very poor quality. I’ll never buy a Tommy Bahama product again.

Fast shipping...my umbrella arrived 2 days before I left for the beach...only because I waited too long to order it. My son has had a Tommy Bahama umbrella for two years now and we liked it. My new 2020 version is about a foot bigger than his. The umbrella is everything you want, quality materials, very easy to set up and take down, very stable in ocean breezes. It more than payed for itself already this year in saved umbrella rentals for the week...A+, Happy Tommy Bahama customer...We also have two of the Tommy B beach chairs...another quality item....
