  • Fantastic entry level bike!
Size: XS (5'2"-5'6") Color: Matte Black
This has to be one of the best bikes you can buy in this price range. I ride a few times a week and I am extremely pleased with the Forcella. The bike is light enough (for an entry level) and the ride is really comfortable (great geometry and carbon fork).

  • I love it
Size: M (5'8"-5'11") Color: Matte White
I love my brand new bike. As I get better and better at cycling participating in races. I decided to upgrade my bike from a trinx to a Tommaso Forcella and I'm glad I did. Great quality bike for entry level cyclists, and great for the price. I made sure that it was put together by a professional and I've been enjoying riding it. Gears are easier to change and hills are a lot easier to ride on. I'd highly recommend. ... show more

  • As a beginner road bike, you can't ask for much more.
Size: XS (5'2"-5'6") Color: Matte Black
Updated after 9 months of ownership. This is my first bike in a decade, since middle school probably. I am using it to occasionally commute about 2 miles to work, and for cardio on weekends on paved bikeways. This bike required a fair bit of tuning to basically everything upon receipt which is typical for a new bike. That said, I think the biggest negative about this bike quality wise are the wheels, as they require more truing than I would like. Spokes randomly loosen and the wheel just doesn't seem to naturally be true. I can get them almost perfectly true, but the wobble incessantly returns. I had to learn a lot quick in order to get this bike into functional and quiet riding condition and keep it there. Overall though the bike works pretty well. All of the minor annoyances that I had with it could be tuned in order to fix except the front derailleur. I really don't like the triple chainring front crankset, as it seems like no matter where you adjust the derailleur to, there will be some chain rubbing. I am considering a double crankset setup because of this. All in all, only the wheels and the front crankset are the "you get what you pay for" negs that I can give this entry level road bike. The matte black is sexy as hell and gets compliments. FIT: I'm 5' 10.75" with a 33.5" inseam. My inseam is long for my height, meaning that I have long legs and arms for my height. I got a size large, and I'm not sure how I feel about it. It definitely works for me, but something tells me that a size medium might've been better. The large comes with a 120mm handlebar stem, so I replaced that with a 95mm stem to save me 2.5cm. I also have a 6' 5" wingspan so that helps as well. I'm honestly not sure if a medium would've been better for me. The problem is that my triceps seem to get more tired than I'd like, but I'm not sure if this is an encurance/fitness thing. I've heard that it's better to size down than size up when it comes to bicycles. Overall, I would just suggest that if you're at the top of a sizing range, DO NOT size up unless you have long arms (a wingspan that is 3"+ longer than your height), have a long inseam for your height, and plan on riding aggressively bent over. Otherwise, stick with the sizing chart and do not size up if you're at the top of a sizing range. ... show more

  • Dangerous defect after 3 rides – do NOT buy Tommasso
Size: M (5'8"-5'11") Color: Matte Black
I regret buying this bike. After just three short rides, the right crank arm threads were completely stripped, making it unsafe and unusable. I installed the pedals correctly, using the proper torque and direction. The pedal is fine—the crank arm failed. I also bought the extra warranty from Amazon, but it doesn’t cover this kind of malfunction. After this happened, I found other reviews reporting the same issue. Do NOT buy Tommaso. I’ll update this review if anything changes. Update: Tommaso didn't give any solution, please don't buy!!!! I have read many reviews with the same issue, I wish I hadn't ignored them. I really thought this was a good brand, but the materials are poor quality and the customer service is nonexistent. ... show more

  • 5th year of riding: thumbs up!
Size: XL (6'2"-6'5") Color: Matte White
Love the bike. It's my 5th season. Comfortable and light. The only maintenance required is regular chain lubing. Reliable and fun!

  • Great value bike for entry cyclists
Size: M (5'8"-5'11") Color: Matte Black
Great value bike for the equipment you get on it. I tried doing a lot of comparisons between different direct-2-consumer stores, and honestly I couldn't find anyone that offered the same components without being around $100 more expensive. Bought this for someone sized 5'10", though I can also ride it at 6'2", though I would suggest getting a size up at my height. Point being you should still be able to ride your friend's bike even in a smaller size :P Assembly was straightforward as always, coming almost entirely assembled from the official seller, GiantNerd. My only complaint lies in the wheels used for this bike. The spokes are flat instead of round and it made putting on the safety reflectors a bit of a pain. Minor complaint since once you've set it up, you're not going to have to deal with it again. Overall great bike, rides so smoothly. I'm jealous of my friend since I personally own the Tommaso Imola. But at least I can still ride their bike at my height! ... show more

  • Considering how hard it is to get bikes right now, this is a good option
Size: S (5'6"-5'8") Color: Matte White
After my beloved Fuji NEWEST got stolen, I went to my local Trek store ready to spend money to buy a replacement. They said they would be happy to take my order and that my bike could be in as soon as next August (in October). So I tried every other bike shop around, all the same story. Because of COVID you can not get a bike in NYC right now. With not much to loose, I ordered this bike on Amazon for about $1000. It came a few days later, I put it together in about 15 minutes, and was back on the road. Is this is Tommaso Forcella a good bike? It is a fine bike. There is nothing wrong with it, it rides fine, the components are fine, it gets me to where I need to go. Is it a $1000 bike? A year ago I would have said no. This is maybe comparable to a $700 Trek or Fuji. But you can't buy those right now, so I'd say this $1000 bike *today* is worth the same as a $700 Trek next summer - at least to me. ... show more
