Fellow jungle explorers, my household is happy with this faux mahogany engineered wood seat despite the few caveats in the header. We have eclectic decor and needed a new toilet seat; we wanted a soft-close with the warmth but not the porosity of wood veneer for cleaning , so this worked well for us despite the color variance (and that you can tell it's a picture up close). Taped the gaskets to the hinge base (as per another reviewers suggestion) and that made installation go smoothly enough, but it's still a strange array of bits unlike other seats I've assembled, so be forewarned and take a few extra minutes--it'ii go together fine. An acceptable value at 30 odd with the current coupon.

This is a quality toilet seat. Most of the pieces used to assemble the toilet are made of metal. It comes with a little socket type tool that made the installation easier. Installing it by myself was not easy though. It made me pretty angry. There are two little rubber gaskets that seat into the seat connector. When you turn it to place the seat they like to fall out. Almost impossible to get back in without flipping the seat back over, seating them, then trying again. Repeat until you get it. I have a bidet seat attachment that I had to control at the same time, though, so maybe you won't have the issue. If I had to install it again I would actually remove the seat and lid from the mounting hardware and do it that way. I think installation would be pretty simple and easy that way. Also the instructions aren't super intuitive. The seat is sealed well and doesn't seem like it will come off easily. It isn't just a lacquer like some older wooden seats I've used. The seat is heavy duty and the hinges work well for the quiet close feature. You don't have to worry about this lid slamming. It fits well on my toilet and the mounting hardware fit well. It accommodates my bidet attachment well. I would give this 5 stars except for the installation issues and lack of clear instructions. 4 stars as a result.

I like wood toilet seats. Plastic ones just don’t do it for me, seem too cheap. This one seems well made, nice metal attachments and will be going into a guest bathroom. Looks very nice with a wood floor also. Would order again. Update as of 11-10-23 Husband attempted to attach new toilet seat and one of the holes in the fitting was square instead of round. Had to drill out the hold. The installation instruction are barely adequate. They use drawings instead of pictures. You can’t tell which direction a part should face. Also one piece in the instructions (B4) I not shown as being used anywhere. Otherwise it is a nice seat and I would order again.

I really love this seat. It’s a gorgeous faux marble that’s fairly easy to install. It’s sturdy as all get out with its metal fasteners, and very comfortable. Not too hard at all. 4.8/5

I don't know what I expected, other than it being just another wooden toilet seat, but I was pleasantly surprised. This thing is HEAVY! This is the third wooden toilet seat in that bathroom of our house, the other 2 purchased at typical big box stores. Not inexpensive by any means. After receiving this seat, I'm questioning the quality of the first two. I was initially surprised by the weight of the box that it came in, thinking there were other items in the box. There wasn't. When I was ready to replace the seat, I was highly impressed by the durability of the hardware of the seat. Those are not cheap by any means; quite hefty and solid. All the hardware was in individual bags, the directions were clear and very easy to follow, and I put it on by myself. The lid-to-the-seat hardware installation was a little tricky by myself (a friend could be helpful) but otherwise, I'm very happy with it. Again, this is a top-quality, oak toilet seat. I will probably never have to replace it.

The media could not be loaded. We’ve had soft close toilet seats in the past, that we got from big box DIY stores. This toilet seat appears to measure up in quality and is similarly priced. It closes well (see attached video) and looks good. We like that this one comes in marble as well as wood grains. Installation was pretty easy, though not as simplistic as the soft close toilet seats I’ve gotten from the big box DIY stores…this toilet seat has many more parts to attach than the other toilet seats. Additionally, the instructions are pictures without written directions…it’s not as straightforward as it should be.

Needed a new toilet seat so I picked this up. This looked like a real kind of fancy seat so I was interested to see how it would be when I received it. The instructions were not amazing, but were good enough to get this set up, and it turned out well. The quality of the seat, the most important part is really good. It looks fantastic, like real marble, but obviously isn't. It's as comfortable as you can get without having a pad on it, and again, looks really nice. It comes with all the hardware you need, and again, the instructions aren't perfect, but they do list everything you get, and what you need to do.
