I’ve gotta say these lights are SOLID for tubes off Amazon. Not only full metal casing and the front diff/casing isn’t cheap plastic it’s thick and could definitely withstand some stuff. Obviously like with all lights treat them well but I could see these withstanding a few accidents. The color temps have a wonderful full spectrum from 2800k to 8000k. They also have built in gel settings just like on set how we’re used to, from 1/4 to full in almost every standard gel. The actual RGB is vibrant as hell and goes from 1* to 359* and doesn’t lose much kick at full sat. The best bit is the preset playlists where it ranges from TV set, lightening, fireworks, explosion, razzi and a few more that could be used for various things. The app could use a facelift and some UI fixes but overall it’s a nice companion and I’d run this off iPad and group/nest if needed like any remote set I’ve used on other sets. Honestly a really really nice budget tube set for those looking to not break the bank given the other options usually reserved for more big budget settings or the usual industry standard brands. I cannot wait to use these I even bought another set so I could have four total. Well worth it. These tubes things could be workhorses. I’m honestly stunned they are so good for the price they came in at and off Amazon. That’s so rare.

I originally bought a different set of tube lights since they came with a tripod, and when I tell you, I was so disappointed I literally issued a return the same day. Then I saw the reviews on these so I decided to give these a chance, and there is a world and a universe of a difference between the two, I am so happy with how bright these lights are and how well built they feel, I’m actually using them for a shoot tonight You will not be disappointed if you buy these! After a couple more shoots, I will be buying another 2 foot set and hopefully a 4 foot set.

I turned it on once and it worked beautifully. I was planning on doing a shoot but it wouldn't repower on. I plugged it in and a spark flew out. I thought if I left it charging it would come on but it didn't. There wasn't much in terms of customer support. I returned it and replaced it. Seems to be working now. I will post if it should fail again. I hope it was a rare freak thing.

Bought 4 lights, and within 6 weeks 3 of the 4 don't work, spark when plugged in and won't turn on (and seller return window closed for 2 so I cannot even get my money refunded). DO NOT BUY.

This light is great for filmmakers seeking an alternative from nanlite/apature prices.. I'm a proffesional videographer (not just i.g videos) and I'm surprised of how good this light is...instead of getting the pavotube from nanlite, I wanted to save a few bucks and this light impresses me!!! Do it!

I've been using the TLX1 FOR a couple months and really wanted the longer length. And it's great for that. Output is nice, color selection and adjustment is nice, interface is so much better than the Godox LT series. I'm strongly considering ordering a second 2' to compliment this one. There's some weird choices made on the 2' though that are sorely missed from the shorter length. The barrel plug power is weird when the short tube uses USB-C. With the increased power delivery on USB-C now, it doesn't make sense to now have a required charger to have to carry. The lack of magnets is really upsetting, as that's my primary mounting method for the others. Put some midway down the tube of the ends aren't enough. The prospect of DMX control puts it on competition with brand name tubes for video production. But it use mini XLR connectors, which aren't common. Being on the end cap, you can't put them end to end. And the Metalitle DMX controller advertised is nowhere to be found.
