we go through some of the fraibil nets from the local store. We catch small aquatic creatures while on float trips. While catching, the net hoop can scrap on rocks and eventually the net needs to be re-sewn onto the hoop. This net solves all that. The net itself is inserted into a track in the hoop. The aluminum hoop takes the abuse and the net stays intact. Its a bit shallow for my liking, but knowing it will last multiple seasons is worth the trade off. I’ve been keeping fish for over 54 years and I finally found a great net. The edge of the basket holds the nylon net inside the aluminum frame to protect it from abrasion , it is light weight and the basket is just the right size for most fish kept in home aquariums and small outdoor pools. If they offered one with this frame with a net twice as deep I would own two of those as well. ... show more

Looks to be good quality. Not at all what was pictured. the net I ordered had a dull grayish colored handle with a black net, just what I wanted to catch bait. The net I received has a very bright shiney handle, which is just what I didn't want, and green netting.
