Cable locks are to keep people honest and make your bike harder to steal than another bike - and this one works well for those purposes. I had a larger diameter cable before and while it may have been safer, it was also really bulky and hard to keep uncoiled while trying to get it around the bike and to whatever you were locking the bike. Nice light bike lock. I'm really glad I have it.And it has also some kind of frame mount which I haven't figured out yet.But it does the job, and you can set the combo yourself.I recommend this. The major difference between this and a very expensive bike lock is the length of the cable and weight.This is a slightly shorter cable length. So you have to position your bike properly to lock it up or lock it with another bike. I use this as a deterrent. So when I'm having a bite on the bike trail, no one steals my bike. ... show more
