One of my friends actually kicked it when she came over to test the sturdiness. LOL I cringed, worried it would topple over, but it stayed up true and strong! I highly recommend this! It's the second place I have put it in my yard as well, so it is definitely portable.

Perfect for what I needed. Put inside a larger stone fire pit that could not accommodate a typical metal ring. Purchased two. Crazy thing was that two were put into one smallish box and the delivery person left it in fri t of my garage door. I tried to move it, and it may have weighed over a hundred pounds! Not portable as advertised and very heavy. I understand why the delivery person just left it where it fell.

Just what I needed for safely containing and burning sticks, leaves, and cardboard. I don’t think it will rust and break down. I have used it several times since purchasing. Would be nice if it was a little taller, and if it had a screen over the top to keep embers from escaping, but works great. Bonus: my sister backed her car into it when exiting my driveway in the dark. No real damage done. Individual results may vary.😃

Haven't yet used it with fire but am in process of building it out. Photo is initial stage. Easy to assemble. Sturdy/heavy. Very happy with it so far! Great price for it, as well. UPDATE 1/13/17: So I decided to remove the stones from beneath the ring and also removed a few of the metal pieces to make the ring smaller and just use it on the bare ground. It's GREAT! I put some stacks of regular home bricks inside to promote air flow and to make the teepee-like structure with the burnables. Very impressed and super happy with this product! UPDATE 6/19/17: I used this thing all dang winter and took it camping with me and it's been awesome. Folks stopped by "where'd you get that?!" It has a nice patina (rust) developing on it from being in the weather, but I like the look of it, despite.

Ordered 2 as I needed more than the 12 that come in the package, they set up great, easy, and look good. Pounded them into the ground a bit, but have a few left over to do a smaller one or take it camping and have a safe fire pit.
