  • Decent material and weight, but quality issues
Welded spindle stop placement is off, when rotating to the firepit use position, the cook grate is crooked (not centered). This is due to the small pieces of metal being welded to the spindle shaft in the wrong position, creating the alignment issue. Company customer service is not good. Will be returning product and buying the more expensive, but better PilotRock pit instead. Pretty disappointed with Titan customer service and their retaliatory nature. I let them know I wasnt happy with their service, but was trying to give them the opportunity to fix the issue, without me making the return (all i needed was a new spindle with stops placed in correct positions)… they basically told be to go pound sand and return the firepit through amazon. Wild times we live in with entitled companies like Titan, with little regard to the customer. PilotRock is made in the USA, more money, but looks to be a lot higher quality. Also, beware, if you need to return this product due to quality issue or defective, returning through UPS will be very difficult. The packaging Titan uses is not easily reusable. This is a heavy bulky product packaged in thin cardboard, that comes plastic tension strapped, once those straps are broken to open “box”, the box becomes useless and falls apart. Thankfully, UPS will restrap for an additional $8.00. ... show more

  • Great Product
Great Product, solid for sure although the Manual online...one doesn't come with the product, doesn't tell you how to assemble, the exploded view in manual is pretty self explanatory. Bolt didn't want to come out freely to assemble grate on mount but I managed with bench vice to turn it out. Also, no instructions on how to season the grate before cooking on it. Seems that would be simple enough to provide that in the box. Definitely good product for sure! ... show more

  • The best commercial quality ring I’ve seen
I initially did a lot of research before deciding to buy this ring and it came down to the thinkness of the steel, the depth of the ring, and the removable grate. After using it for 5 months everyone agrees it’s the nicest fire pit they’ve seen. I purchased 36 retaining wall blocks from Lowe’s along with some lava rock and landscape adhesive. 12 blocks fit perfectly around the 32” grate to the point where the ring just sits on top of them, after hammering the anchor tabs in. First we dug down a few inches and leveled the ground and then started laying the blocks. After each level we put the ring back on and adjusted the blocks for a snug fit. Then we dumped a few bags of lava rock in. At the end the pit sits around 10in high, perfect for putting your feet on and not too high to block the heat from getting to you. It took 2 of us a little less than 2 hours to build, which included digging into the hardest soil I’ve ever dealt with. I like having a grate for cooking but I hate having one on all the times as it’s in the way and can be a tripping hazard at night. But not installing the bolt the grate can still swing and pivot as designed but you can just take it off and store it elsewhwere when not in use. So far it is holding up nice as expected in the high Rocky Mountains. No signs of rust, but it’s an outdoor fire pit so I don’t really care about rust. The lava rocks drain the rain well and I haven’t had to shovel any ashes out after about 20 uses as they sift through the rocks and dissipate into the ground with some rain. If you’re looking for a state park grade ring at a great price, this is it. ... show more

  • A GOOD ITEM BUT AN UGLY WELD RUINS THE LOOKS
I believe this is a very nice fire pit ring and I DID receive all the parts to it. It's heavy and should last a long time. Since I have a half a brain I was able to install the handle and the swivel grill with no problems and without non included instructions. The price is right for the quality and it COULD have scored 5 stars... BUT....... My ring look like a 5th grader welded it together... My wife could weld better than what I see. I was very disappointed when I opened the box and saw the shoddy weld. I have a grinder, welder, and any other tool to smooth it off and re weld if need be but... I shouldn't have to. I have sent a complaint to the maker and we'll see how they handle it. Personally I think it would be fair if they save themselves the return shipping and just refund me say $25? or so.. I don't know, maybe I am just too picky. If I surround it with pavers it would cover the bird crap weld but I hadn't planned on doing so. Your thoughts? UPDATE: The company contacted me after I sent them an email and pics. They were very speedy and professional in replying . They offered to either replace the ring or give me a 29% refund because of the weld. I took the refund and will smooth it out myself. The refund was very fair I felt and it saves them shipping costs on a new one and also the old one returning . I'm happy. Yes, I highly recommend this product and the customer service department is great. ... show more

  • Excellent Quality
The box was pretty beat up and ripped open from the tabs, even though they are wrapped, but the fire ring itself was fine. We used a hacksaw to cut off the tabs and they came off really easy. It helps to have one person hold the ring while another person cuts. I took a hammer to it first and it did nothing. As another reviewer suggested, we bought rumblestones from Home Depot to build the ring. 12 large and 12 small per layer. It looks really nice with the size difference. Since we set it on pavers we only added a couple bags of pea gravel in the middle. When it arrives the grate is screwed in with a long screw and washer that you won’t use again (that we could tell). It comes with another bolt you will use to screw the grate piece onto the fire ring. ... show more
