Made of very hard and easily split plastic. Fits a tire tool like socks fit a rooster. The first one did not even survive its first attempted use as it split apart. This will teach me to pay more attention to negative reviews. Absolutely do not waste money on these.     • These split on certain irons
I'm not that thrilled with these. The tire iron I got has a slightly curved end and these split trying to make the bend. There are little ridges that are presumably for grip, or to accommodate the bending, and that's where the splits happen. The bar is slightly exposed through the splits which defeats the purpose of the protective cover. They'll still work, but I think a straight ended iron would be better suited for this product, although it seems that many (most?) irons have the slightly curved tip. I'm not sending them back, but will definitely be seeking a different product next time. ... show more

These are made of really hard plastic with ends that do not make it easy for tire install. Returned.

    • Ordered a 3 pack and none survived 2 uses
Title says it all. Lesson learned. Have replacements coming from Hunter directly. Do NOT buy these. Cheap hard plastic that is too rigid to be a sleeve. The first one split down the molding line as soon as it was put on, never used on a wheel!
