  • This is a very nice unit!
I have a hard top convertible that has very limited "storage space" and even less "trunk space" because of the roof. I have a small battery powered "jump starter" in the small "cubby" of the trunk and some other emergency supplies. (First Responder). When I saw this battery powered tire inflator, I had to try it out! This is a seriously nicely packaged and seemingly quality built item. It comes with a nice microfiber bag to store it in and is a very nice compact unit. This "fits" in my small trunk "cubby" along with my other supplies due to its compact size so I am very happy. So far, I have not used it for inflating anything higher pressure up to its 150 psi limit. I have only "topped" off my car tires and some bicycle tires and for that it worked exceptionally well! (Especially the bike tires where I was able to use this instead of my compressor to fill up my bikes 65 psi tires. It was very convenient!) This is definitely a "must have" for any camping/beach/road trip AND great to have around the house too! It appears to have gone up some in price from when I ordered this to review so I will not comment on price. I will say that it seems to be a very high quality well-built product and it would have been a "steal" to buy at the price point I ordered it to review at. I would still recommend it for purchase at the current price I see today but prices on Amazon seem to fluctuate on some products so just know that it is a very nice product that actually does work very well! (I am a much more "quality" person rather than "price person" for products like this, though as I said it was priced very low IMO when ordered and is still priced well at the time of this review also.) Of course, I am not able to "review" how "durable" this will be, or the battery life is for storage or multiple uses all at once since I have only had it for a short time. However, I DO update my reviews when I have an update of that type so if you are reading this, look at the date and if a few months have past and there is NO update, then it has continued to function well for me. (I do expect it to last reasonably well just by seeing the "build quality" of this unit, but if I encounter any issues, I will update my review.) I will also update if I have cause to use this in an unusual manner like filling up something close to its max psi or use it in a manner that "stress tests" its limits. ... show more

  • Really nice, especially for the size
This is a nice portable air compressor. I got this mainly because my tires always seem to lose air pressure in the winter. It's nice to have a compressor at home instead of having to go someplace to have it done. This was easy to use (and I'm not particularly familiar with air compressors). The hose was a pain to put on, but other than that, it was pretty straight forward. It could travel easily, as it's size is small. It does a good job with my tires. That said, I haven't inflated them when completely flat, just when they were low. I like the USB port, as well. It's a convenient addition, especially if you are taking it with you. I could see this being very useful on a trip someplace. Overall, I think this is a nice unit, especially for someone like me, who doesn't necessarily know a lot about this type of thing. ... show more

  • Good Battery Powered Air Compressor
This is my first battery powered portable air compressor. Other 12 volt air compressors I have owned have all been hard wired to a cigarette lighter port or used with a jump starter and were very simple and basic. This one has worked great so far. It's too new so I can't immediately speak to the quality and life of the installed battery. My first thoughts when inspecting this are will I be able to replace the battery when it dies or will it just become one more dead battery junk item in the landfill? I pumped up all of our bicycle tires and car tires and compared them against a cheap dial gauge and they were all within a range that I would call close enough to be acceptable. I question and take with a grain of salt the absolute accuracy of any and all uncalibrated devices like these so which one is really truer? Ultimately though, this is only a 4.5 star device to me because the screen is a bit dim and the buttons have some unusual hieroglyphics that indicate their function. Even as a technician and mechanic I had to refer to the instructions to figure out how to turn on the light. You have to be careful after setting up the compressor that you don't accidentally press any buttons while handling the unit while inflating your tires. It is also important to select on the menu the proper item type that you are inflating. The car tire setting will not inflate a bicycle tire to 70psi. Overall, I am loving this little thing so far. All you have to do is push a few buttons and away you go. It does retain the last settings you used. It's no louder than any of the old style small format plug in compressors I have used. The biggest learning curve is trying to not accidentally press any of the buttons while handling it to inflate your tires and stuff. ... show more

  • Works for bicycle tires, car tires, sports balls
We keep this in Hubby’s car which we take on car trips, but we’ve broken it in on bicycle tires (on our garden cart/wheelbarrow) and various sports balls as well as our son’s vehicle tires that were low after some stormy weather. I’m sure there is a scientific reason that everyone lines up at the tire place for air after storms, but I don’t know what it is. I do know that we don’t have to line up any longer - we have the answer at home. I feel like a pro - checking the preferred inflation level inside the drivers door, setting the device, attaching it to the air stem and letting it do the work. I am old enough to remember tire gauges with the the white sticks that popped out the bottom to show the pressure and then me guessing how long to inflate to get to the correct pressure. I don’t miss those days at all! I have a small manual bicycle tire pump that I’d been using the for wheelbarrow tires and sports balls, but honestly, it was a piece of junk that made me crazy every time I tried to use it. I tossed into the donation pile after we started using this Portable Air Compressor Air Pump. We love it and highly recommend it! ... show more
