I bought these, so I did not have to use my whole body to change the tire on my motorcycle. The springs are not strong enough to stay in place while trying to get the bead of the tire over the rim of the wheel. So when trying to get the bead set into the wheel they snapped off. I’m not ready to change my motorcycle tires on my Harbor Freight tire changer yet but these clamps look to be just the thing I need. In the past I’ve used large wood clamps to hold the tire bead off the rim with much difficulty. These will easily hold the bead down and prevent the bead from following my duckhead around the wheel as I move it. They are made of a very stiff and strong type of nylon that cannot possibly do any harm to my rims and are held in place on the rim with a sturdy spring loaded pin that is easy to operate.
