  • Looks and works as described.

This works very well. Very convenient. I really like that it cools down with Dan only fir 30 minutes after completing cycle.

  • Y'all better jump on it before the price goes up!
Size: 12 trays
This things is fantastic. I've had it literally a couple of hours and there are no meaningful instructions but there's other reviews that show you how to turn it on. It's not hard which is probably why there are no instructions. It will warm your space. It said not to touch the sides because it gets hot so you know I touched it and yes, it gets very hot so don't let kids around it but it works! It blows from the back so all the trays heat evenly. It goes up to 190F on the thing so that's plenty warm enough to dehydrate whatever you want to. I'm so excited to make chicken flour. Dehydrate chicken breast, pulverize it in a food processor and boom. Chicken flour. You can even make cookies with nuts in this thing! If anything goes wrong I'll update but I didn't want make anybody wait. I was suspect but it's nice, it's a good investment. I'm keto and we like to camp so this will be a life saver. Money saver too! ... show more

  • Wish it had an alarm, and the timer setting is a mystery.
Size: 12 trays
I've always wanted a dehydrator and jumped at the opportunity to order this Tinzida Food Dehydrator Machine, 12 Stainless Steel Trays because of such great reviews. It comes with lots of handy equipment of which other reviewers have photographed. I followed the instructions in the User Manual. I washed and dried all of the trays, silicone sheets, mesh screens, drip tray, etc. Then I did the recommended first test run without any food inside and detected a slight odor reminiscent of the first time you turn on the furnace in your house. It's apple season, so we took out our apple corer/slicer and went to work on 15-18 apples (we lost count). We skipped dunking in lemon water when our neighbor, who dehydrates n a 200-degree oven, said she learned it didn't make a difference because the apple slices turn brown when they dehydrate anyway. I sprinkled only cinnamon on the slices, some heavily and others lightly. No need to add sugar because the apples' sweetness becomes concentrated, depending on your variety. We sliced and cinnamon-sprinkled: Jonagold, Macoun, and Mutsu/Crispin. It wasn't obvious if either type of apple was better than another. I liked more cinnamon, and my boyfriend liked less. From my photos, you can see we loaded up all 12 trays, and within the hour condensation developed inside the latched door. I didn't notice the small puddle of water on the counter until my boyfriend pointed it out. We'd set the heat on 190 degrees and tried setting the timer for five hours. No alarm sounded, and it was a good thing we looked at our clock, so we knew how long it was on because it's so quiet. I took a photo of 2 trays after four hours, and the slices were still pliable. We continued dehydrating 3 1/2 more hours. By then it was past midnight, and we didn't want to let it run as we slept, pressed the power off button so the red light could flash for less than 30 seconds as the fan cooled it down, and unplugged it. Once I turned it on again in the morning, I tried to set the timer for 1 1/2 hours at 30-minute increments but ended up letting it dehydrate for 3 hours. The dehydrator did NOT shut off after I set it for 90 minutes. The temperature was still flashing, too. The timer setting is a mystery, and we wish the dehydrator had an alarm. All in all, our sliced apples dehydrated at 190 degrees for a total of 10 1/2 hours to get them to break like chips for that great crunch. My boyfriend brought a Ziplock of our apple chips to our neighbors, and she texted back, "Yummy. Your chips are already gone. I will have to lug out and load up my dehydrator because 2 racks in the oven are not enough for the demand." My boyfriend went grocery shopping today. I encouraged him to pick up some more foods to try dehydrating next: bananas, peaches, and zucchini. We look forward to it but will need to use our cellphone alarms to help with setting a time for the dehydrating. ... show more

  • Works
Size: 12 trays
I made apple chips in this thing. First I had to rinse and clean all the racks. It’s nice that it comes with so many racks. It is pretty hefty, much better than the plastic versions. It took about 18 hours to dehydrate the apple chips to a crispy consistency. I love that it has a temperature gauge and is adjustable. I checked the temperature with an oven thermometer and it was spot on! Very impressed with this so far. Fairly confident it will continue to work, solidly built. ... show more

  • Very versatile
Size: 12 trays
Tinzida Food Dehydrator Machine, 12 Stainless Steel Trays, Dehydrators For Jerky, Meat, Fruit, Pet Treats, Vegetables, Herb, 194ºF Temperature Control, 24H Timer, Safety Over-Heat Protection I make large quantities of hand decorated cookies and had been considering ordering a dehydrator to speed up the drying time for the icing. It just seemed to be a big purchase that would take up a lot of space, for just occasional use. When I came across the Tinzida dehydrator, I was impressed by how many ways it can be used and decided to try it out. We have two cats and two dogs and the idea of making healthy treats for them was especially appealing. Then I started researching the topic and, in addition to the edible ideas mentioned by the seller, I discovered you can also use it for non food items ranging from drying wet hats and gloves to making fire starters! The model that I ordered is the one with twelve trays. Rather than listing every single accessory that was included (which you can read about in the description), I will tell you that it came with each one that was specified - in other words, everything you could possibly need! The only thing that was missing was a more detailed instruction manual. The one that was included just didn’t cover enough. Right now, I have only used it to turn fresh bananas into banana chips. The chips are great and, between the fan vent and openings on the sides, my house smelled wonderful! I had a bit of trouble getting the temperature set at first. It works in 5 degree increments, but you need to reset it to zero (unplugging helped) in order to get the desired temperature. For some reason, mine started up at 132 degrees and kept going from that point. In addition, contrary to the instructions, I needed to press the power button twice for it to work. Other than that, it worked perfectly and silently. It’s so quiet I had to double check to make sure it was on. Two of my favorite features are the silicone mats that keep foods from sticking and the secure lock on the door. If you are ready to take the step to getting a dehydrator, I definitely recommend this one. The price is about average compared to similar models and I’m looking forward to using it enough for it to earn its keep. ... show more
