The right angle allows me to place the phone in more locations (including the niche in front of the console, and if it gets jostled it just disconnects at the magnet instead of damaging the cord or the phone. The product seems to work well for most power and data transfers however I could not get it to work with my samsung device to thunderbolt monitors that require the power and data over thunderbolt cables. I used different cables and monitors to be sure. When using the cable alone, the monitors recieve power and the video signal, but using these adapters the monitors would not power on more than a second before they cycled off and on again.

While these will work as defined, do not expect them to last. I bought them to add a layer of protection to my laptop’s charging port as that is a painful replacement. Because of the “blade” design of the connector, the slightest force against it will cause it to snap rendering it a useless shock risk. Buy one with a different design. There are countless.

Worked great with my xps and docking station. I am hybrid and switch between three locations, each with the L on the docking cable. I can quickly connect and disconnect at each site. My previous L connector would not pass video to the dock for multiple monitors, this one does. Get it. Highly recommend
