  • Quick review initially - Great Watch!
Color: Black/Gray/Orange Accent
Hopefully I can provide the information that I was looking for when buying a new sport watch. My wrist measures 7.5", and this band fits fine. There are even 2 additional slots before this wouldn't fit on someone's wrist. I did not need to cut anything off of the band because it was too long. The watch does not seem overwhelming on my wrist, and because of the design, it lays nicely and comfortably against my wrist. Other watches I've tried sit up high, but this watch face has a nice transition with the wristband. The end of the band also has a protrusion that helps it stay connected securing the extra band length. I've never seen that it other watches. I think the display is a clear and a great size without too many unnecessary functions, yet this watch has MANY functions (see the watch description for how many things this watch can do). If I can find any fault, the "night light" function is really poor. When in the dark, it's hard to read this watch. I plan to use this during the day during activities so that won't matter to me. I've had no experience under water, but beyond that, I would highly recommend this watch as a reasonably priced sports watch. ... show more

  • Easy to read gray face
Color: Black/Gray/Orange Accent
Similar to my old Ironman G-Shock. The only really noticeable difference is that the watch band is a little less bulky. I'm glad I got this watch. It was delivered in less than a week, as promised. Some watches listed had delivery dates over a month later. The price was reasonable (Timex wanted $15 just to replace the broken band on my old one). I'm glad I read reviews on Amazon. I almost ordered one that had a black face-- everyone complained about how hard it was to read their watch. This particular watch has the gray face I'm used to. The dark numbers show up easily against the gray color of the face. ... show more

  • Very user friendly!
Color: Black/Silver-Tone
I had typically used my Apple watch but did not want to bring it out on the trail with me this past summer so I bought a watch I already knew was durable. I have had problems with another 5-button watch and it is hard to set timers and alarms, but not this one. It saves three alarms at a time and they are very easy to change when I need a new one ... show more

  • A very comfy, pleasant casual sports watch- especially good for training
Color: Black/Silver/Gray
The Ironman series of watches has been around for about 40 years now, and with good reason. The current iteration doesn't disappoint. It's light weight, easy-to-read, has a good backlight, offers simple operation, great buttons, a decently loud chime, and is a feature rich watch. I purchased this one on a lark; it was sold as "used- very good" from an Amazon warehouse for $20. The Timex packaging/ box was damaged, but the watch itself was new, wrapped and seemed unused. Since I do not wear an item's packaging, I always look for such items when shopping on Amazon, as it can save quite a bit. In this case it was $12 less expensive, or about 1/3 less costly. I have owned a digital watch for over 40 years; from left to right in the photo- my 1980 Seiko (owned since new), my daily Casio, which has solar and atomic clock radio signal time setting, and the Ironman for you to compare size. Owning a number of Casio digital watches, I was pleasantly surprised by the comfort and ease of use of this Timex Ironman. The Ironman does feel somewhat more "plasticky" that some Casio watches I have, which may influence some buyers. But once you get past that feel, if you like the look of the watch, it's a great offering, especially at a $20 price point. The on the Ironman, a chronograph, a countdown timer, a second time zone, three alarms, 30 lap records, occasion reminders , and a perpetual calendar make it comparable, or better than many of the similarly priced Casio offerings. The Ironman does not feel quite as substantial as some of the lower cost G-Shock offerings I have tried, but is at least as comfy on my 7 1/2 inch wrist. Water resistance seems fine at 100 meters, and the recessed plastic crystal should avoid most scratches. The features should be very useful for those who do not want to wear a smartwatch for training. I hope this review has been helpful. ... show more

  • Good cheap watch that can take a beating.
Color: Black/Gray/Orange Accent
This is my third one in 20 years. I beat the crap out of these things. Any metal watch would be scraped up and look horrible. This doesn't show the damage. When I inevitably break pieces off I super glue them back on. Go swimming and shower with it on. Cleaned it with all sorts of harsh chemicals. Half the year its soaked in sweat (saltwater) and being mostly plastic and rubber exterior makes it easy to clean and it doesn't smell nasty. In the past when I change the battery the sound stops working, haven't changed the battery on this one yet. Each watch I generally have to get a second band halfway through its life (life expectancy is shortened due to abuse). Any nonmetal watch I will absolutely destroy and this holds on for a long time. And even a metal watch would look like it spent a day in the middle of the interstate the way I abuse it. ... show more

  • Dependable
Color: Black/Gray/Orange Accent
I've had several of these over the decades. They're sturdy, reliable and easy to use. They're inexpensive and the batteries last practically forever; so inexpensive that when it comes time for a battery replacement I just get the newest version.

  • Good watch for the price
Color: Black/Silver/Gray
Watch is easy to see. The indigo light is good. Do not like the plastic watch band. Wish there was a choice of watch bands when ordering. My preference is the cloth/velcro band. Also a bit of a pain to set up, but not sure any watches would be easier.
