I was looking at new computers costing $1300 to $1800. Decided to get an external hard drive and boost the ram in my current computer first. I'm sooo glad I did that. This thing is Lightning Fast now. It handles several large, layered 300dpi Photoshop files open at the same time with zero lag now. Got this to almost Max out a Dell OptiPlex 3070. Make sure before you install the ram that you have the latest firmware for the mother board loaded. Loads up fine and works well. Using this system as a Test bed Proxmox system with VMs right now three systems are linux and one Windows test VM, systems all load fine with this memory.

Not much to say about the item itself, but I did want to write this review for the other Synology NAS owners who are looking to upgrade their RAM. I installed this RAM in my DS224+ to bump it from 2GB to 18GB of usable memory (accepted by and displayed in DiskStation Manager). Disclaimer: I've heard not all RAM (even the same ones that others have success with) are accepted by each individual device. It's pretty much a trial and error game, but given my success with this RAM, I would recommend it as a viable option.
