I needed to breathe some new life into my 6 year old Dell Inspiron 3847 Desktop PC and these RAM sticks helped me do just that. It is getting hard to find RAM for these older computers so I was glad to find a few options on Amazon. Having been a PC technician and system builder in the past I was familiar with the Timetec brand and quality. That helped make my decision fairly easy. My system had slowed down quite a bit and fresh installs of the OS were no longer making enough of a difference. I didn't really have the money to spend on a new computer so I made the decision to do some housecleaning and upgrade some components. Maxing out the RAM from the installed 8GB to the max 16GB allowed by the system seemed like a good place to start. These RAM sticks were a simple, easy install. No issues, no worries. I was back up and running in under 10 minutes total from the time I unhooked the PC until I was back up and running to a working (and now speedy) desktop. My system, an Acer Aspire xc-605 only had 4 GB DDR3 since new 4 years ago. I was having issues with speed and reliability. These chips are DDR3L, so they run cooler with same DDR3 1.5 volts as they only require 1.35 volts. This was an awesome upgrade to 16 GB. My power supply was also making some racket, so after the speed increase with these the upgraded power supply helped increase my old weak one and got my whole system running at the correct voltages. It's RAM. Almost all of the time, IF it's going to fail, it does it immediately. You plug it it and turn the computer back on; did it boot? Easy peasy. Mine passed the "does it boot-up?" test. Also, it passed the "thorough" memory test; I have an old Dell XPS 8500 desktop with memory diagnostics in the F12 boot menu. As for that slim chance manufacturer defect problem that happens randomly to people 1-6 months in, during heavy load? Yeah. No way I know of to detect it. It happens regardless of brand and ECC doesn't protect against everything... though I sure wish ECC was the rule not the exception. I'll update if mine "wins" that particular lottery, but don't hold your breath. ... show more

Well was skeptical bout buyin non Dell ram from another company. But was extremely surprised by the ease of installation and extremely fast shippin. Took literally less than 24 hrs to recive here in Illinois w no special shippin. But already had Dell Inspiron 3650 disasembled prior to install of chips, so speeded up process to less than two mins. After my ancient eyes located old ram was an ease of removal and reinstallation of both new. Went from 4Gig to 16 Gig upgrade. The 4 gig was brutally slow when computer was new. The computer is aprox 5 to 6 yrs old. But new 16G total has changed computer to act as if was new w 16Gig of ram. Will update if ram dont last, but fer now have no problems. Also after two power cycles computer bios automatically found new ram, an had computer unplugged from power when installin ram new as well. Hope this helps others. ... show more

I have an old low profile Dell Optiplex 3010 with what is supposed to be the maximum RAM of 8gb. I put in a Gigabyte Geforce 1650 low profile graphics card, and didn't need to upgrade power supply. It's got an i5 processor, but otherwise stock. I have been able to play almost any Steam games including VR using an Oculus Quest 2. My son loved the Quest so he took that and I was able to get his Vive Cosmos to work. That wasn't easy though! Took a lot of messing around with settings. I bought this RAM even though there are many search docs that say it won't work. I found that using Audacity became so much faster and able to apply filters to entire double albums. So yeah, very worth it ... show more

Nothing to dislike. I have used this type of memory manufacturer before, from desktops to actual servers. This memory was needed for a computer which uses an older 2 memory slot motherboard installed in a Dell desktop. This machine had 2, 4GB sticks. I simply swapped them out for 2, 8GB memory sticks. It is working flawlessly and this memory manufacturer is an outstanding option for just what I needed. And the price was an outstanding value, as well.     • Fixed my problem!

I was about to throw away my machine because I thought there was a problem with the cpu or motherboard.. My computer would run fine for awhile and then all of a sudden crash or freeze - no BSOD. I did some testing and I saw that memtest showed that my ram would fail - but even then memtest only showed it failing sometimes and not others. FYI this all happened with brand new NeoForza RAM. I tried contacting NeoForza to take them up on their lifetime warranty - of course they were nowhere to be found... lol So then I installed this new ram and like magic it works again - no problems for almost a week. Excellent value, will buy again in the future! ... show more
