Built to provide workers in the oil and gas industries with exceptional slip resistance and electrical hazard protection, our rugged Timberland PRO Rigmaster XT steel-toe work boots feature steel shanks for structural support and Anti-Fatigue Technology footbeds for added shock absorption and energy return. We used Premium Timberland waterproof leather uppers and internal waterproof membranes to ensure maximum waterproof protection. Our breathable, moisture-wicking linings are made of ReBOTL material containing at least 50% recycled plastic. Plus, our heat-, oil-, slip-, and abrasion-resistant, non- marking polyurethane outsoles are designed for industrial traction and feature Ladder Lock heels that help grip ladder rungs. Timberland set new industry standards for craftsmanship, durability and protection when it introduced an authentic, waterproof leather boot in 1973. Those 1 Star reviews honestly make me wonder what those people were doing. I've had these boots for over a year and they still have a lot left in them. Out of the gate, the shoes were a little snug. A week or two in and it fits perfectly. I'm a size 13 wide. Now, after a year and a month... The insoles wore down and that's to be expected. Waterproofing still good. Steal toe still protecting. No cracks in the bottom. No tares in the rubber. I'm satisfied. Money well spent. Have a nice day and remember- Jesus Christ loves you. Come to Him. You probably didn't expect that from an honest review about boots, and yet here we are, my guy. So what are you gonna do? My advice: Buy the boots when you have the money, but come to Christ now. My first reaction when putting these on was that they have to be taller than 6in. I felt like I was in an 8in or even 10in boot. The ankle support is very sturdy. You wouldn't be hiking in these boots. They are just too darn sturdy. However, if you're working in the field, in industrial areas, or places where you need rock-solid protection for your feet, these are your boots. I mean, water-proof, steel-toe protection, an anti-fatigue sole that lets you stand all day long and not suffer aching feet? That's just an amazing boot. Throw in the electrical hazard protection, the very tough rubber tread, the odor control treatment in the sole? Rock-solid, heavy-duty boot that is ready for action. Even the eyelets and grommets in the boot (where you lace 'em up) are solid. I tried tugging on mine and they would not budge. (in the past, Timberland PRO has had issues). This is an amazing pair of boots that I'd recommend for anyone working out in the field, in industrial environments, or in the city. ... show more

Love timberland pro. These boots are extremely comfortable, waterproof, nice style, decently priced fit true to size for me. They are good leather and good rubber however the heel part in the inside had rubbed a hole. Still wearable maybe it's just how I walk. I'd buy again for sure. As a deckhand on a towboat good boots are hard to find these have held up just fine. ... show more

    • By far the greatest boot ever worn.
I work in a very greasy and oily environment. A lot of coolant a lot of water. They are by far the best and most comfortable boat that I've ever purchased in my life. I bought an extra set of the anti-fatigue insoles and put them in as well. They are about as comfortable as my house shoes except they are steel toe boot. I would recommend these boots to anyone that will need the waterproofing, the safety of the toe, the ankle support, and the all around comfort these boots have to offer. Even the toe as wide enough and deep enough so that the edge never gave me blister when I broke them in. I was concerned about the rubber in the front making a crease and causing a hole but there is no crease there is no hole there is no wear line. By far the best and when these doneed to be replaced I will be buying the same set of boots. ... show more

Updated 4/13/17. Waterproofing in boot has failed due to tears in sides of boot near toes. Cannot seem to keep boots dry and they are now very uncomfortable. There are actually holes in the footbed as well which make them even more uncomfortable. Not happy to have these last less than a year. The rubber portion at the front is tearing away leave no another hole for water migration. Contacting Timberland for a replacement under warranty. So far these are the best boots I've ever owned with one exception. The padding on the right boot tongue seems to want to allow them to slightly dig into my right ankle. It may just be that my old boots were so worn in that I'm not used to them yet but a little more padding in the tongue and around around the top of the boot wouldn't hurt. I just switched socks to something a little thicker until they wear in a little better. I wear size 14 so it's hard to find something that offers adequate protection without looking like a clown shoe and weighing a ton. I've worn these for about a week for 8-10 hours at a time walking on concrete and dirt floors, climbing on trucks, and doing carpentry while remodeling my house. So far they've held up very well to the elements though I'm hoping they aren't too warm once the Ohio weather decides to make up its mind and get hot. Time will tell if they last longer than the pair of Keens they are replacing which made it 6 months before the heel needed reglued. These seem to be fairly waterproof so far and I haven't slipped on the myriad of obstacles (oil, wet floors, etc.) that I've come across in them. Best of all my feet don't hurt at the end of a day.     • Good working man's boot
I read some of the negitive reviews and honestly didn't experience none of the issues those individuals had. These are actually a great pair of steel toe work boots for me. I like the material over the toes. The stuff has been extremely durable and protective as opposed to plain leather. I have to get down on my hands and knees to roll my tarps that cover the pipe I deliver to customers that's loaded on to a semi tractor trailer. For those familiar with that procedure you may know if your feet / toes drag on the ground much, it'll take the leather off the steel toe. I've had them for several months now and I write this review with favorable words. They're a great pair of boots and were worth the money. Also my feet stay warm and dry, note I ordered a half size up I wear heavy socks but that's something I learned in the Army as an Infantryman. So I hope this review helps remember when your feet are in good footwear, and don't hurt, your going to be in a better mood at the end of the day... ... show more
