  • Excellent so far.. (updated 2023)
Size: 14 Color: Brown
I was very impressed with the fitment right out of the box. They're about as comfortable as a good trail boot and nearly as light. In fact, they feel more like a trail or insulated winter boot which I'm sure it could substitute as in a pinch along with some wooly socks. I can forget I’m even wearing steel toe work boots with these on. They're very comfortable to wear all day even after working. The grey midsole, particularly below the ball of the foot is thick and spongy for absorption and the bottom heel and toe cap both have some nice thick rubber "bumpers" covering them stitched to the insole. Brass eyelets are an important but overlooked part of a boot and these appear to be good quality. Timberland has had a reputation with boot eyelets coming loose and falling out over time though so we'll see. Overall 5 stars. Edit: March 2023 and they are finally wearing out on the bottoms. I've put them thru everything but the front tread has finally disappeared after 4 years of use. So no longer safe to use as work boots, but will continue to use for house and garden work for years to come. The leather has never been conditioned so is thin and grainy in some spots but the the string eyelets, soles, walls and bumpers still intact. ... show more

  • Fantastic Value - Incredible Boots - No Break-in
Size: 10.5 Color: Brown
I bought these last minute, and was incredibly impressed with how comfortable they are. I logged 80 straight hours in one week, on a job site that was largely concrete. We put in 17 hour days, and the only part of me that didn’t ache each night was my feet. I had zero time to break them in, and yet they fit like I’ve logged 100mi hiking in them. I bought them for the job, but plan to use them in the future for hiking. I now feeling confident I can slip them on and easily do a 10mi backpacking trip without worrying about blisters etc. For sizing, I saw reviews suggesting they ran big, but the 10’s were too snug. I normally wear a 10.5 in Nike and 11’s in ON. These in a 10.5 fit me perfectly, with just a tiny bit of extra room in the toe, which I wanted for wool socks etc. ... show more

  • Comfortable steel toe
Size: 10 Color: Brown
I always go back to this style and brand because they offer a comfortable durable boot at a halfway decent price. I think for what I paid there's probably not much out there that would offer better. I love the protection this boot gives me. The grip is very good and durable and the weight is just light enough to not bother my loose knees so I don't have to sacrifice durability for a light boot, this boot is just the right balance for me. My only concern with this pair is some of the stitching for the re-enforced toe is already starting to give out. If I'd given a little more thought I would have stayed with the same brand however opted for the fully re-enforced covering the whole front of the boot. This would place the stitching farther back letting wear occur. I will hopefully get a year out of them and not look like a hobo by that time but I'm not optimistic. This a style for a job site foreman who might help you hold or carry something not for someone doing the real work. Great boot I just question the durability of this style. ... show more

  • Decent work boot out of the box
Size: 11.5 Color: Brown
The Timberland Pro Keele Ridge safety toe work boots arrived quickly, and looked as good as advertised. The boots seem to fit true to size (I ordered an 11.5, normal width), and they fit my foot well in terms of length and width, with just a hint of roominess. The toe box even accommodated my wide forefoot. I like the sizing as I will be able to wear these in the winter with wool socks and not have cramped feet. There is no insulation (thinsulate) in these boots, so adding layers is important for those working outdoors in winter climates. The boots' upper material is comfortable and seems to be breaking in well. The hard toes are just like any other boot in terms of flexion point near the base of the toes, but seems to be decently padded on the inside. It would be nice if the insole was a little more padded or spongy, but that's my personal preference. The boot is in no way compromised by the stock insole, and most people may find it acceptable. The shoes waterproof ability has barely been tested, but has held up well so far. The biggest gripe I have about these boots is the lack of a lace through spot on the tongue to keep the tongue from slipping from side to side during twisting types of activity (like shoveling). At less than $100, I feel I have made a better value decision than a much more expensive pair of Red Wings, or similar, safety toe work boot. ... show more

  • Super Comfortable
Size: 10 Color: Brown
These have been super comfortable and excellent quality. Have had problems with boots/shoes bothering my feet in the past, but these don't. They offer cushion and support so they don't bother my knees and back too. Were not super expensive either.

  • Durable and comfortable
Size: 10 Color: Brown
I am a woodworker, on my feet on concrete 8 hours per day. They are holding up well after 5 months, and have been very comfortable from day one (no break-in needed). Good traction but could be better, but nothing is great against sawdust on concrete! I will definitely buy again when these wear out.

  • So far, so good
Seems to be excellent quality, especially for the mid-range price. Those of us needing large sizes in wide widths (15E) do not have many options. All of my previous hiking boots caused significant pain down the middle of my feet (from the ball of my feet back along the arch) after anything approaching a long hike. This is the first hiking boot I have owned as an adult that has not caused that pain. Moreover, the waterproofing is excellent. The only drawback is that the boots are not the lightest hiking boots out there. And when I say they are not the lightest, I do not want to imply that they are very heavy. My Redwing Pecos 1105s are heavy. These boots are much lighter than most hiking boots of this size. They may be the lightest steel toe boots I have ever encountered, but they are not as light as many hiking boots I have tried. That said, I will take the extra weight in a trade off for comfort, durability, and good waterproofing. Since I have only owned the boots for one trip to the Rocky mountains, I cannot yet make an assessment on durability, but comfort and waterproofing have been thoroughly tested, and these boots passed with flying colors. ... show more
