  • Top Grade Boot
I just bought my second pair. I got 3 years out of first pair. Outside still good but inside is worn now. So I looked at boots and I could find a reason to switch styles. Let me tell you my experience. I am 58 and getting older. I work on hard cement and climb. I am female and I wear men's boots. they dont make them as well for women so a size and a half smaller works. I dont have back, hip pains from long hours as I do in any other shoe. I put in an orthodic to shift my weight forward and between the shoe and that insert I have worked three long years on rugged ground and hard cement and much of the time wearing them 13 hours a day. The shoes are rugged and high quality in materials and design. Nothing has broken or come unsewn. I got the water proof ones this time because I treated the others when outdoors and coming and going there is always weather. The black shoes are softer to wear and have a great fit. The new insert looks like the old one but there is an upgrade perhaps in the sole. It is more comfortable right out of the box. I will have no break in time with these shoes. I didnt have to break in the last pair either. So if you need to have good safety shoes and have long hours of work and at times rough terrain, this shoe walks over gravel and rock like its just a flat surface, you wont feel anything through the sole but a solid support, the ankle protects you from turning the foot. Laces are set correctly and right length. Eyes and hooks are strong and dont wear out. Laces after 3 years on first pair still in good shape. Surprises me actually. They will apparently out last the inside membrane. People state the shoes are heavy. They are heavier than most for a reason, they are protective boots, double rubber, steel etc. Keeps your legs strong. You will have good posture walking and standing, they are not a flat boot. And yes they paid for them self by protecting my foot from falling metal. Happens fast when metal hits the foot, the shoe protects and you continue working. You trip on a metal track or pallet. No injury or twisted feet. Safety matters. This shoe is what safety shoes are suppose to be about. Be safe people. Dont go cheap. ... show more

  • Great all around boot
Size: 12 Wide Color: Black
Love the extra foot padding. The boot is sturdy and a little heavy bit once you get used to it you'll be good to go. I do put my own dr scholls insoles in the boots but I feel like I need more arch support than what the boot provides.

OK so I am a maintenance mechanic I work 6 to 7 day a week 8 to 12 hour shifts. Igo through a pair of boots once a year. Tried Doc Martin's, Caorlinas, Red Wing (my last pair) and someone recommended these Timberlands. Out of the box very comfortable, a little heavy, very nice fit. Went to work the next day, oh my dear lord....my feet were in heaven, my back felt great and after just one day I am in love. OK so now after a week of wearing them solid I'm still very much impressed. I've had a hard time going from boot to boot trying to finding a great fitting boot FOR ME!! Even my Red Wings were tough to break in and hurt like heck during that period. Timberland is a bit on the heavy side but after a solid week I don't even notice it. I also noticed the sizing was spot on, usually I'm a half size smaller or bigger on different brands. I went with the 8.5 and was spot on. I highly recommend these boots ... show more

  • Hope this helps
Size: 12 Color: Black
For the record, I want to state that I'm a material handler, that means a lot of walking, and a bit of climbing, a bit of going out in the snow/rain, whatever you can conjure up that a material handler might do, I do it. As far as quality, I bought these a few months ago wanting to give them a good beating at work to see how they held up. I tend to use my steel toe boots and tools while working which involves me kicking the ever loving crap out of things, using them to pry things etc. Not what boots aren't meant to do, still no cuts, still no stitching coming undone nothing. Waterproofing is as they advertised. I've stood out in puddles and in ankle deep socks and never got any water in them. Works great for when you have to be outside and don't want cold/soggy socks. Comfort. This is where the important part of my review sits. Keep note I gave it 4 stars because the boot does exactly what it's supposed to do, but the included sole they give you is pretty worthless. If you pull it out, it's cardboard thin in almost all directions. IF you're someone who's standing a lot, these boots are comfortable as all hell. It's like standing on clouds. If you walk at all, especially as much as I do, they killed my feet pretty quickly. I had to put some new insoles in the boot to make them comfortable to walk in. Even then it sometimes hurts. I wore them for about a month then threw them into the closet and wore my shoes again to let my feet heal a bit. Once I did that, I wore the boots again and have been much better. The problem with them for walking is the rear heal. Unless you direct your feet 100% forward (which almost no one does) they'll cause your foot to roll a bit causing you to walk a bit funny. They also don't bend very well so they cause your steps to kind of..uh..."calop...calop" if that makes any sense (just sound it out lol). This causes the front of your feet to kind of smack the ground. It took me a while to learn to how to walk again in these because it doesn't allow you to really walk naturally. I bought the boots for the main purpose they look rugged and were waterproofed. They aren't really meant for material handling obviously and that's on me. It doesn't affect how great the boots really are, considering how much abuse I'm putting them through, they're holding up great. I hope this helps. ... show more

  • Comfortable and true to your boot size
Size: 10.5 Color: Black
My hubby has owned many pairs of work boots. He swears this pair is the most comfortable pair he has purchased. He’s had issues with “needing to break them in.” So the first week or so other work boots are uncomfortable until broken in. Not this time around no need to break these work boots in he says. True to size as well. ... show more
