  • Awesome boots!
Size: 8 Color: Brown
Timberland like any like any other brand has become more fashion than function thanks to celebs making the boots popular. Thankfully, Timberland still makes something that is functional in the real world!! Staying true to their roots. The Timberland Pro Boondock 6" boot are amazing! The boots feature a composite safety toe, electrical hazard protection, completely waterproof, and 400 grams of insulation. I purchased the boots during the long cold harsh winter. The boots feel hefty but very solid! Upon wearing them, you can sense the anti-fatigue cushioning and the boots don't feel as heavy. From other reviews, there is a break in period (at least I hope so) because there is a slight discomfort/rubbing on the left side around rear of the ankle. I think over time the boots will feel better. I originally purchased the Timberland Pro Boondock 6" Non-insulated in a size 7.5 because a local department store was closing the priced seemed right. 7.5 was not bad, however I felt that my toes would curl or push too much against the toe cap when walking. i decided to purchase the insulated version in my normal size 8. Feels slightly larger but plenty of space now!! More room for boot socks! I have tried boots made by Wolverine, Skechers, Carharrt, etc. Some of the boots did not last long at all! While others became useless after the outsole started deteriorating. Timberland was never my first choice, because I felt they were overpriced. In hind sight, I hope the Boondock prove me wrong! The boots look great with the pebbled leather and protective toe cap and plastic lining around the ankle. I did apply SNO-SEAL to the boots to protect the leather. That is something I have been using for years. Edit: Its been a couple of weeks, winter has started! The tread on the boots is great in snowy conditions, wore the boots while snow blowing the drive way. The insulation keeps your feet cozy, even with thinner socks. The rubbing went away and the boots are comfortable. I went for a winter hike on a sunny but very cold day. The boots kept my feet warm! However, i ended up slipping in a creek and the boots got soaked! I had two pairs of socks on, while I could feel water sloshing around, my feet did not freeze and stayed comfortable. The hike was only a mile but I have to believe that the insulation really helped. ... show more

  • Love these boots!
Size: 8 Color: Brown
These boots are really great, I use them for working outside especially when it is raining or muddy! They look good, fit good and work great! Safety toe is just an extra precaution, I am just using the boots for yard work and gardening and some small building projects (built a small shed, cutting/trimming trees, mowing the lawn...). They are holding up great! ... show more

  • So comfortable!
Size: 11 Color: Brown-2024 New
My 3rd pair in 7 years. I'm in construction so beleave me I beat my boots up good. They have always been waterproof and with an added cushion insole I feel like I'm walking on a cloud. My only complaint is I wish the tread lygs were more solid . Each one of my pairs have worn down through to the inside hollow of the boots. ... show more

  • Best work boots I've owned.
Size: 13 Color: Brown
These things are impressive. There are several ways in which it is clear that Timberland paid attention to detail. One of which is particularly notable to me. The lace hooks at the top of the boot are built better than any I have seen before. I work in the logistics industry, and am often having to push boxes, sometimes very heavy, with my feet. This often happens in a way that requires a kick or quick push with the side of my ankle. Most work boots I've had are equipped with cheap little metal hooks that bend very soon after I buy them. That can make it difficult to lace or unlace my boots. In some cases (*cough* wolverine *cough*), they bend almost immediately after buying them, and start damaging laces each time I put them on. The lace hooks on these boots are perfect. They're thicker, rounder, and stronger. They are designed by someone who gets it. I like that. The only thing I don't like about these boots is how big they are. I joked about how I looked like I was about to walk on the moon with them. They sum chonky boots. But they're comfortable. And durable. So it's worth it. I'm still giving them 5 stars. They impressed me that much. ... show more

  • Great boots!

  • Comfort beyond expectations
Size: 10.5 Color: Brown
I had to buy some workboots for some field work with a client of mine. It has been 10 years since I have worn anything with a protective toe and all I remember is the toe digging in to the top of my foot. These boots are crazy comfortable: not "for boots" but for footwear. I have worn them 5 full, 10 hour days and love them. I pull the laces tight at the bottom and then a little loose at the top and only use the first set of the top tabs. At first I made them tight all the way up but was getting a little lace-bite feeling in my upper ankle (even with the well-placed leather piece on the top of the tongue where the laces go across). None of that is a problem now with a slight lace adjustment. These are insulated and it has been 90 degrees. I was worried they would be hot. I wore regular white athletic socks and they were comfortable and my feet and socks were dry at days end. The traction is great and they land amazingly softly when walking. Of course they are heavier feeling than shoes but not so much that I drag my toe or anything. I really like them. The pro's in the field (construction workers) made positive comments about them and some of them had older ones that they have worn for a long time with comfort and a lot of miles. These are great boots: you get what you pay for here. They aren't cheap but they are comfortable and appear durable and well-made. ... show more

  • tongue not wide enough
Size: 10 Color: Brown
I was excited to get these. I just tried them for the first time and the tongue is not wide enough, which causes the inside of eyes to dig into my ankles. I'm not a big guy, but I don't have chicken legs either. The ankle space is not large enough. I wish I could send these back. I took pics of my other work boots and the size of the tongue is much wider and I don't have a problem. I bought this pair to keep at another residence and not have to take work boots back and forth. I wore them once. Can I send them back? ... show more
