    • I think there's a work boot under that plate armor...
These boots are awesome! Very high quality, and look to be more than durable enough to take the abuse I put my boots through. Steel toe cap is generously sized and comfortable. This is my first pair of boots to feature metatarsal guards, so I don't have much frame of reference, but I find them quite comfy. They do slightly impede movement of the ankle; if I squat down far enough, my lower shin rests on the metatarsal guard. I do live production work for a living (think concerts, etc.) and these make me feel safe and comfortable while rolling 600 pound road cases off of trucks. Very pleased with them. Pros: tough and durable. Waterproof. Basically armor with a work boot hidden underneath. The added weight probably builds leg muscle. (har har) Cons: Heavy. Not as breathable as my last pair of boots, which had gore-tex lining. You may want to keep an extra pair of socks in the car if you're working a 10+ hour day. Pro Tip: replace the laces with 550 paracord. ... show more

I really surprised in how comfortable these are and they are super heavy duty but not very heavy in weight. I really love these boots and from now on I will buy these boots. I'm a CNC machinist for an oil meters producing company and in my feet all day these are great boots. The metatarsal guard is heavy duty love the feel of the protection I get from these boots..... One year later still look brand new I wear these everyday everywhere I go they are still comfortable. I go through a pair every 6 months I usually buy redwing irish setters. I'm so glad I bought these. I'll never buy a different pair ever. My boots by now are usually uncomfortable and all cut up and beat up looking. My boots are still brand new looking I cut the grass, work on my car, machine, I shovel, do yard work, more the grass everything in these boots and they still look and feel brand new highly recommend. UPDATE... Two years later I bought another pair and both pairs still look like new and I'm a machinist I work with metal and go through boots like nothing. Best boots ever ... show more

These boots are no joke when it comes to protection. They feel solid the second you put them on, with that reinforced structure that lets you know they are made for demanding environments. The added protection across the top of the foot is a big plus, especially if you are around heavy equipment or anything that could drop without warning. They also give good ankle support, which makes a difference during long days on your feet. What really stands out is how dependable they feel in rough conditions. They hold up well against wear, provide good grip, and give you that sense of security while you are moving around. They are definitely on the heavier side, but that comes with the level of protection you are getting.     • Okay boot, only a little flexability, but very comfy.
Bought for husband 6mo ago. They are holding up well. He is millwright and bought them to protect against torch and welding slag. He says they are very comfortable, but took some time to get use to the restricted movement from the guards. He plans to buy another pair when his eventually fail.

I kept second guessing, purchasing this boot based on the reviews. Not to say that the other reviews are false. I'm just saying, I rather consider my own experience. And when I tell you that the comfort level of the boot is to the roof!! I have very narrow feet with completely no arch and I wear a 8 in mens and my toes have plenty of wiggle room. And these boots compliments the own nine. They look so cute and small on my feet. I posted pics so all my readers can judge from what they see. I purchased them for work, of course. And NO... I haven't experienced them outdoors yet, but I'm sure I'll enjoy them just the same. My occupation is a Truck driver so I'm not expecting extreme wear and tear. Otoh the main key component for me is foot protection, so as long as I'm giving that, I've got my money's worth (wink). Shrugged shoulders, I'm content with my decision! ... show more

I wait to make reviews. I'm not one of those who will post a gushing review only to take it back with an "UPDATE" a week later. I've had these boots since...well, actually I don't remember. Winter. A few months. Maybe 5, even. I love these. I'd buy them again. I wear them every single day. I've walked miles in them, even. Not a stitch has busted yet. They are comfy--tho perhaps a little heavy, but what do you expect? They have a good deal of steel in them. They look gorgeous, and I feel very protected, with all the OSHA-Specific features. I walk through deep puddles, totally dry. Mind you--I take good care of my things so that may figure in. But these are quality, without a doubt. I wear a 9 wide. UPDATE AFTER A COUPLE YEARS: These are still going strong! I (still) stand behind my earlier praise. ... show more

    • Fit great and comfortable but bad odor
I bought these boots so that I had them before starting my new job, I wore them from Sept. 2020 to Feb. 2021 and had to buy a new pair from our "boot truck." For one reason, I prefer the logger style and couldn't find any with the met gaurd and the other reason is simply because after wearing these boots for 12 hours a day my feet and the boots STUNK! Bad enough that I had to leave the boots at wo4and wear different shoes home. People bought the exact same boot off the truck and have the same problem so it isn't the supplier, rather this boot. I've have timberland brand in the past and have always found them to be exceptional quality and still do but these particular boots...wow..the odor. ... show more
