My 55 year old dad is a very hard worker, always on his feet for as long as I can remember, just keeps going like an energizer bunny. For so many years his boots n shoes never last. Last year he hurt his foot at work, a heavy can fell on his foot leaving a nasty injury right above his big toe. He don't get himself steal toe because the steal rubs on the top of his foot, very uncomfortable for him. I felt bad that he never has good footwear, so I looked up what boots would be perfect for my dad, trying to find sturdy, comfortable boots that'll last and keep his poor toes safe. I decided on these, best decision ever. These boots keep my dads toes safe, these are sturdy and lasted him a year so far, he says they are the most comfortable boots he has ever had, the steal doesn't rub on the top of his foot. My dad is happy so I'm happy. Would buy these for him again whenever he needs a new pair. :) ... show more

I usually buy more expensive boots like Danners but the Tim pros are a solid choice. My Danners are just about dead after 3 years and money is a little tighter than usual at the moment so i went with these and i gotta say im impressed with them so far. For the guys complaining about discomfort, I don't really experience that because i grew up in work boots and a break in period is expected with any tough boot but compared to other boots at the 150 price range these are great out of the box. My suggestion to someone who doesn't live in boots is don't put put these on and go straight to work. Wear them around the house for a few days to give them and your feet a chance to break in. If you can do that for about a week your first day on the job with them will be fine. ... show more

These boots are a ripoff! They fit well and look good, but the balance is off. I injured my Achilles tendon and then the sides of my feet trying to compensate for lack of ankle mobility. Even if these boots were free they would be overpriced. Do not buy these!!

bought these on an impulse after falling in love with my 6” pair of timberland pro boots. first thing i noticed is that the 8” boots fit differently – particularly around the arch and toe. these feel slightly larger than my 6” pair in the same size. not a complaint, though. my 6” pair is almost too tight, so this works out well for me. just wanted to inform other buyers that the 8” fit is not the same as the 6” fit. i’m pleased that the 8” boots are comfortable right out of the box. like others have said, if your timbs are uncomfortable, you’re wearing the wrong size. i wear my timbs for hiking, urbex, walking across snow/ice, and during my long inventory stocking (retail) work shifts. i’m hoping these will perform as well as my 6” pro boots do. ... show more
