Heavy, well-made steel-toe leather boots that I wear every day. I dropped a large seafood knife and it stuck on top of the boot but never cut through to my foot. This boot protected my foot from a severe wound. Also dropped a heavy pipe on the toe of the boot and the steel protected me from damage. As a new sawyer doing disaster recovery work I had to find a pair of steel toe boots comfortable enough for me to stand in while operating a chainsaw all day. I'd already bought two pairs of pricey women's boots that killed my feet by the end of the day. I then in desperation decided to try buying these men's boots in a small size. I figured they'd be too wide for me but that I could put a set of arch supports in them to take up some of the extra room and potentially make them more comfortable. I lucked out: these boots meet safety requirements and are comfortable enough for me to stand in while doing chainsaw work all day.
