Seems to be a sturdy boot. I got mine just for style. So I couldn't say how sturdy it would be for a hard working. But it does got some nice features that are good. Has a lip from shoe tongue to boot so nothing like dirt and rocks get in boot threw the laces. Water proof seems to work. I bought these for my husband 2 years ago. He works as a butcher, processes trees for our wood furnance, does heavy landscaping, and enjoys being outside in all the pastures. At first he didn't like them he was used to Carolinas or keens(sp?). These are taller and the quality is way different. It took him about 3 days to break them in and after that he hasn't looked back. Doesn't matter if it's 100 in July or -30 in January, he's got these on his feet and he's comfortable. The quality is superb and outstanding. So happy with this purchase and just bought him he's second pair. The old ones are still completely usable, the staining is mostly from animal blood and chainsaw gas. 10/10 do recommend ... show more

I work at a smokehouse, the slip resistance is immaculate, and the quality is as expected. Last pair lasted me two years of many many hours of abuse, and are still wearable. The only thing that happened was the top leather cracked (i sprayed em off with hot water after every shift)
