did a test setup (always test gear before you hit the field). tarp is blackout on the underside which helps prevent heat transfer. came with a lot of hardware for all common mounting options. i juggled the more expensive 180 and 270 awnings but ultimately went with this. pretty happy with the purchase on day one. my only concern is how the bag will hold up over time being exposed to the harsh elements in my area. great value, lots of coverage and a single person can deploy it in a few minutes. came with decent quality screw-type stakes, but i used my own aftermarket ones. it rolled back into the bag easily, and i chose to roll it "over" vs "under" as there would be less chance the legs get away from me and scratch the car on the next deployment

Why did you pick this product vs others?: product is very high quality with the price. the leather bag feels like it can last a lifetime. I was able to deploy it and put it away myself. if you have a roof basket and it's already installed with clamps it's definitely a hassle to install because you basically have to install the backets under it. but when it's on its not going anywhere. The amount of space with this awning is amazing you can 100% fit a whole faimily under it.

Easy to mount on existing roof rack. Set up is quick and able to do with one person. Was concerned it would be a challenge to get back in its bag but went in with ease. Will consider bigger tent spikes if we set up in a windy location

The awning seems to bolt up and install nicely, but holy heck this thing is big. Pros: Tarp material is good quality Poles are good quality Stakes are beefy and durable Roof rack mounting hardware is easy to use Cons: - The guy lines (support string/ropes) are thin, with flimsy little plastic cinch clips which do not stay tight very well when any sort of wind picks up. - Wind. This thing is like a sail and can't be used in any weather other than calm wind-free environment, otherwise it will pull up the stakes or make the support ropes slip loose. - difficult to wrap up due to the odd shape of the tarp. It doesn't fold in even thirds you kinda just have to fold it awkwardly and roll it up. I would recommend getting more durable lines and even bigger stakes for this if you expect more than a gentle breeze. I ended up not being able to use this while camping because it would flap loose in the wind.

The media could not be loaded. Where do I start! This awning has exceeded expectations, especially for its price point. It’s by far way better than most awnings out there! Highly recommend. Mounted to my Bronco Sport with ease! Pictures and videos don’t do it justice.
