I bought several of these to give to different friends. This doorbell is wireless, and you can place the chime anywhere you want. Previously, I would often miss the sound of the doorbell while working in the garden. Now, when I'm working, I simply plug it into the garden's power outlet. Additionally, there's no need to install batteries in the button, which is amazing. Later, I researched and found out that they use the simplest power generation principle. Previous doorbells always required battery replacements every year, which forced me to frequently check if the battery needed to be changed. Now I have no such worries at all. Great product... I love that the button to ring never requires batteries! I was a little skeptical about this at first, but it definitely works and has worked for several months now with no signs of any problems! The ringer (which needs an electrical outlet) is loud and strong. I wasn't entirely sure how to turn down the volume (it's pretty loud!) but I'm pretty sure you can. There are other sounds for the bell as well (But I haven't explored this... the basic ringer does the job for me!) ... show more

Pros: It has several fun ring tones! It can be set to be very loud. Cons: You need to have the ringer box plugged in close to the door bell button even though it says it has 30' range. It has to be pushed just right or it does not ring at all.

    • Doorbell Only Works Inconsistently at Best...
Actually, I was excited to order this wireless doorbell. However, it doesn't always work when someone comes to the door. The doorbell can be pressed and it rings, then fails after trying ten or more times. I followed the instructions, but what good is a doorbell that only rings sometimes? Returned!
