Don't bother with torches to keep bugs away. Doesn't work unless you sit so close to the flame that you burn your eyebrows. For atmosphere these are hard to beat. Especially compared to LED version. But, still, we are playing with fire. This does smoke less.

I have used the regular tiki fluid in the past, but wanted to try using a "cleaner" fuel in our backyard tiki torches this summer so I tried out this option. We need effective mosquito repellant due to the high risk of west nile and EEE in our area, and overall I would say this fuel did the job. I did notice a reduced amount of mosquitos when using the torches, but I think the regular fuel may have done a slightly better job at this. There is also a pretty big price difference that adds up if you buy this version all summer. Overall it works as a torch fuel but I'm not sure the price is worth it, I would stick with the original version. ... show more
