It arrived in a small cardboard box with a puncture, but inside is almost like a foam ice chest. Glass lamp shade was unharmed, pole and wires were fine, base was protected and had no scratches. I have read that people had problems with stability, but that must have been resolved. In 2024, the metal base is large and very sturdy. Yes, the pivot to direct lamp shade direction is plastic, but the inside has teeth, so if properly tightened, it should not slip. Came with an led bulb. Not a bright light, but glows beautifully and gives a nice soft ambient light. Im sure there is a brighter, cool bulb to buy, but I dont need that currently. ... show more

It’s pretty. It’s useful. Seems well designed as to balance. It was well packaged. And partially pre-assembled. If you are thinking of getting this lamp, don’t doubt. It’s a reasonable price for a beautiful lamp.

It’s gorgeous! I love it! The bulb it comes with is a little low on the watts/brightness. It makes the lamp look gorgeous but a little too low to read by. Easy fix though!

The base is heavy enough to sit on bare flooring easily and the lamp is gorgeous. The way it arrives, and the building instructions are very easy to deal with. Putting it together was very easy, and if I'm saying that it has to be true. Putting things together is not one of my talents. Easy to assemble and sturdy however I don't like the floor switch because it looks messy. I would rather have had a cute pull chain. The colors are gorgeous and I love that the tilt is adjustable.

I love my lamp. It was very easy to put together. I did read the reviews and was concerned about it getting too hot and also that it was top heavy and would topple over. None of those things happened. It seems very sturdy and it is not hot. I love the colors. It is just what I wanted. The light bulb does not seem to be 100 watt though, but it is enough light to read by at night. The only complaint I have is that it has a foot on/off button. Because of the cord, the on/off step on button is on the side of another piece of furniture, therefore, I have to lean over that piece of furniture and push it with my fingers. There should at least be an option of a handle on/off button. That is truly my only complaint. ... show more

I have a deep pile carpet, and because the lamp shade and fixture hang out on one side of the pole, it is very easy for the lamp to fall over. Thankfully, however, where the lamp stands is right next to a hard tile floor, and the lamp is stable on the hard floor. One curious thing, which has no bearing on the value, is that a small section of what is headlined "Stained Glass Sample" is included in the packing with the following note, quoted exactly: "WHY LOOK LIKE PLASTIC SHADE: The small piece glass been joined together, so the Percussion is Depressing, but glass weight is 2 times than plastic, and couldn't been burned by fire, please test it." ???. Never mind; we are very pleased with the lamp, and I am using it at my recliner as a reading light. ... show more
