Young children learning to write love these pencils. Many choose this shorter, triangular version over the large, spherical "My First Pencil". Get these Ticonderoga brand "My First Pencils", too. I bought more at Wal-mart of their generic brand, I think Pen and Gear, and all the erasers fell off. And those eraser tops don't fit on these thicker, my first pencils. But the ticonderoga are great. Make sure you buy a large pencil sharpener, too. They come sharpened and are high quality, but will not fit in the sharpener for a standard size pencil. Best thing to invest in if you’re just teaching your kids how to write sharpness easy for them to get sharpened on their own very good quality. I think it’s worth the price.
