After exhaustive research comparing the various brands of adjustable bases, the iDealBed 7i custom adjustable base caught our attention. The range of articulation is the best that we have found and the higher end features such as ‘pillow tilt’ and ‘adjustable lumbar’ completed the list of features that we were looking for at a price point that wasn’t over the top. So I got in contact with the seller, Dealbeds dot com, and spoke with them. There were no runarounds with “Kevin” in Bangladesh or 27 phone options. They actually answer their phones from their offices in Orlando, Florida. Their customer service reps are very friendly and I had all my questions answered. We chose the split king which is comprised of two Twin XL bases. They arrived on schedule without damage. Although they were kind of heavy, the bases ship folded in half and individually boxed. We found that moving the half-sized box is much easier to navigate around tight corners, in fact, they were manageable even by two 60ish people who aren’t in the best of shape. After we wrangled them into the bedroom, we found that the unboxing and setup was a breeze, no tools required. You just simply unfold the base, screw on the legs, and plug the base into a power outlet. Once in place, each base feels very sturdy. They don’t creek or sway, they just feel solid. The motors are very quiet and respond to the remote commands instantly without lag. iDealbed also offers a free phone app available through your app store that includes the option of voice command to take your sleep experience to the next level if you choose. The lumbar and pillow tilt features are truly hidden gems and we are now glad that we insisted on having them. Trust me, once you try them you will appreciate just how much that they allow you to fine tune your level of comfort for a customized sleep experience. Each base has two programmable memory modes and we each have our favorite tweaks setup for convenience. The iDealBed 7i also comes with a 3 mode massage for both the upper and lower body with 7 levels of intensity. The sensation feels great through our 12” hybrid mattresses and is already getting plenty of use. In summary, the customizable abilities of this adjustable base has transformed our quality of life. We both are experiencing less pain and more restful sleep. She no longer fights for that one ‘right position’ for her back and I no longer am dealing with acid reflux at 2am. We have concluded that this adjustable bed purchase has been money well spent because it is proving to be an investment in our health and personal well-being. Unless you are in the market for a base that has a built-in coffee maker, I suggest that you look no further and order this base.

When you bargain shop for an adjustable bed, you get what you pay for. There are many good reasons to spend a bit extra and get a name brand. You may actually get a company with customer service that exists as well. In less than 2 years, several welds had completely failed and sheared off of the thin tubular steel frame. We had to literally battle, fight tooth and nail for almost 3 months to get a replacement under warranty. Of course, you still have to pay hundreds of dollars for the replacement to be shipped. In the meantime, we had a completely detached lumbar support which obviously no longer did anything except make the bed more uncomfortable. Then the one structural weld holding the entire pillow tilt portion detached. This meant that the entire head of the bed fell backwards, inverted from flat. This was horrible to sleep on for months while we fought for a replacement, which initially was denied. After 3 months, dozens of emails, false promises, and over 3 dozen phone calls, all of which has to be placed by us as they simply refuse to return phone calls, we got a replacement. Guess what, the replacement is faulty. It won't lift properly, the motors make terrible sounding noises while refusing to function, the memory settings are useless due to this, and I could go on. I called yet again and they told me it was a faulty control box, easy fix, we'll send one right away. I've now made 2 phone calls and 4 emails with no response, no status, and no resolution. The same goes for the original bed which has now been sitting in my garage for weeks because they won't pick it up but say I'll be charged the full price of the replacement if they don't receive it back. Yet, same deal, 2 phone calls, 4 emails, and it sits in my garage taking up a huge amount of space. Oh and just to add insult to injury, they blamed us for misuse to avoid honoring the warranty. Please do yourself a favor and avoid this company at all cost. I encourage you to research the vast array of similar complaints on the Better Business Bureau. I will be filing with them myself.

Very well-made easy to assemble and install. It is heavy heavy, and it would be easier with another person, but I did it by myself. It was placed on an old waterbed frame and it works perfectly. You just don't use the attached. Screw on legs. You place it right on the platform from the old waterbed and it's just the right height and it works perfectly.

This bed does what I needed it to be. It's great that it has usb's to plug in your phone, laptop etc. The vibration is not really that great & the lights under it are a nice feature but wish they would stay on. They only stay lit long enough for a trip to the bathroom but go off before you return. Makes it easier to watch tv on work on your laptop & makes changing the sheets much easier, but that wasn't my reason for purchase. I would recommend using deep pocket sheets if possible. Due to health issues, I need to sleep with head elevated and I have back issues. I've had no issues thus far with the function of the frame itself. It is EXTREMELY HEAVY & you will need several people to flip it once you have it together. We had to improvise to get it flipped over, as we are in our 60's & have health issues. Buyer beware though when ordering a mattress from Amazon...that's a whole different review! You might be better off buying local! Shipping was relatively quick.

The bed arrived and it was like 200+lbs or more! Three strong men struggled to manage it. We have a very nice sterns and foster mattress and it’s not the kind of mattress that can bend and flex apparently but right out of the box the motor that lifts your head is defective and doesn’t work. Called customer support in Orlando and it was not a pleasant experience. My husband is disabled so we paid someone who does this for a living to install. They did a great job but it doesn’t work. Customer support said we will get a replacement motor but cannot tell us when it will arrive and she suggested we install it ourselves like we could. We had to pay a third party $250 to install it now it doesn’t work and we walked theough the trouble shooting and let the customer service agent hear the motor grind because the hydro kicks won’t lift. 🥵 Buy from a store if you want timely service.

Feb 2024 So the bed started sinking in the middle shortly after i did the initial review. I contacted Amazon and they said they would not be able to replace the bed I could only return it. So now I have no bed for my mother. So they sent one person to get the bed on Friday despite a two person team scheduled to get it on Monday. Monday 2.26.24 they picked it up and now Amazon wants me to wait 2 weeks while they ship it half way across the country to get a refund. And the manufacturer sent me some replacement parts after the bed was picked up. BOTTOM LINE: Don't buy any high value items off of Amazon. While I was happy that they sent a two person team to pick it up (hence the 2 star review), I was not happy about the overall process. Old review :I love having this bed. It is very heavy so you will need two strong people to bring it up the steps. I would take off a star because Amazon just left it outside in my backyard in the rain but it is not the manufacturer's fault. They need to do inside delivery of items over 70 lbs. The bed was easy to set up and it works wonders for my mom who has all disease. Sitting her up to feed her is important. The only small complaint is that it makes a click sometimes when we raise or lower it. I will have to troubleshoot. But this is a sturdy frame. And it is not noisy. I would suggest head tilt and lumbar support be more pronounced.

I love love love the lumbar bar. I’ve had many back surgeries,I’ve lost count of how many 30+, I have a sleep number i8 mattress. Sometimes I need a soft mattress, sometimes I need to sleep on a rock. But something I’ve not found in any mattress I’ve tried is proper lumbar support. This adjustable base solves that issue and omg! So far, heaven. I’ve only napped on it so far, but I feel like I’m on a cloud of love while also being supported. The zero gravity button is actually zero gravity feeling- I don’t need to further adjust the bed. The foot portion goes up pretty high- I’m saying goodbye to Mt. Pillowmore starting today. My dog is loving all of the extra pillows on his side of the bed. I have a split king- I bought this model for my side because this is quite pricey and I’m getting a cheaper one for the other side of the bed because there is a good 5” height difference between the two mattresses right now. But I expected it. Now I’m looking for one with less bells and whistles and price tag. Then the dog and I can cuddle again. And when the bf stays over we can cuddle too. Overall my first impression is this is amazing and if you suffer back pain you won’t regret this base. I also highly recommend a sleep number if you have variable pain- combine the two and heaven on earth. I can’t wait to see how I feel in the morning. I’ll update this post.

I strongly advise against purchasing this bed frame online. There is effectively no after-sales support. When I reported a defect, the platform directed me to the seller, the seller referred me to the manufacturer, and the manufacturer told me to contact the seller again—creating an endless loop with no resolution. The issue occurred within just two weeks of use: the leg section of the frame became stuck and immobile. Despite my repeated efforts to seek help, no party took responsibility. It’s extremely disappointing, especially considering this is one of the most expensive bed frames available on Amazon. Unfortunately, the customer service does not reflect the premium price.
