I wanted a manual die cut machine to use both at home and on the go. The tianse die cutting machine comes carefully packed and protected. The only assembly needed is to add the handle. It a simple matter of using the screw and turn key provided, and then popping a cap on over the screw. NOTE: it does ship in the manufacturer’s box, so keep that in mind if you want to gift it. The instructions are easy to understand and well illustrated. I am happy to say that this little machine is a powerhouse and cuts like butter. I tested it with 64lb white cardstock. There were no glitches, nothing stuttered with the hand crank motion. No rough or torn edges on the paper. So smooth, and beautifully precise edges! The process is simple. Choose the paper and the pieces that you want to cut. Stack them according to the instructions, based on cutting or embossing. A variety of dies are included in the bundle: Happy Birthday text, flowers and leaves, tags/mini banners, a generous assortment of hearts (various styles), Merry Christmas text, and a variety of Christmas ‘ornaments’ (tree, 2 snowflakes, star, candy cane, gift, 2 gingerbread cookies, 2 ornaments). There is even an embossing folder with four houses and a starry sky. It creates a beautiful scene that is nice enough to use as is on a simple card, or personalize with added text and/or color. I tried purchasing a name-brand die-cut machine and it didn't work, getting customer service and a refund was awful and I thought a die-cut wasn't in the cards for me at my price point. I decided to try this one on the off chance it would work and it was easy to use and I have had no issues! The directions were explained really well and were easy to follow. The machine actually worked and cut the shapes out really smooth! I loved that the machine came with some starting die-cut shapes, an embossing folder and some card stock. It was such a nice touch to not have to buy extras from the very start. I'm excited to use some of the ones I got separate from the initial one I purchased and make some really cute crafts! ... show more
